SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO
Sam Braithwaite wasn't the biggest fan of working at a defunct pizza joint. It was a miracle this place was still open considering they didn't get a lot of customers.
He shouldn't complain though. It paid surprisingly well and he needed the money to put himself through school. It wasn't like anyone else was about to help him. He wanted better than his late parents had and was determined to make something of himself.
He had just started his senior year of college and was in the middle of studying for the LSAT so he could apply to law school. Since this place was so empty most of the time, he was usually able to get away with studying behind the counter. That helped because he really needed the extra study time.
Keeping his GPA up was vital even without factoring in being about to take the biggest, most important test of his life. There was no room for distractions right now.
