Trapping the traitor

General P.O.V

As Ashira said "I have grave news to discuss with everyone here."

There was murmuring inside the meeting room. They all realized that something must have happened in the Kage summit which made the Uzukage call an immediate meeting just after returning from the Kage Summit.

"What happened, Uzukage sama? One of them asked

"Ashira, Did we lose a tailed beast to those mist bastards?" Cho Uzumaki the head of healing branch asked

"No, We got two tailed beasts. But we have a bigger problem on our hands as we have a traitor in our midst." Ashira said gravely

There was a wide gasp before one of them asked "Do you know who the traitor is? Did he leak any valuable Intel to enemy villages?"

Ashira replied "We don't know who the traitor is. We don't know about what Intel he has given to the enemy villages. But what we know is that the traitor has supplied the mist with anti-sensory seals."

All of the Uzumakis who were present had their eyes widened and were shocked.

'Whoever the traitor is, he is very good at acting.' Ashira thought

"But that would mean....." One of them said half a sentence which was completed by the Uzukage "Yes, the traitor is in this room and is a level 4 fuinjutsu master."

Everyone looked at each other with caution but also had a betrayed expression on their faces. They all have been friends with each other for a long time as fellow masters of the same art and felt betrayed thinking someone had not only betrayed the village but also their trust.

"Ashira, How are you planning to find the traitor?" Cho asked

"I had asked Hashirama to send the Yamanaka elite Jonin that was accompanying them in the kage summit. He would be searching the memories of each of you. I trust you all but for the safety of the village I have taken this step. I hope that all of you will co-operate." Ashira said

"How can you even think about this Uzukage san? I am not letting a Yamanaka in my head." One of the level 4 fuinjutsu masters shouted

"Would we risk our secrets to konoha? Even if they are our allies, we can't trust them with our secrets. Even our precious fuinjutsu formulas would be lost to Konoha." Another one said

"I understand your problems. But this is for the safety of the village and I can't compromise on it. You don't have to worry about your secrets or village secrets being leaked. The yamanaka would only get one minute to check your memories. So he would only be able to search for the information whether one is a traitor or not. As for fuinjutsu formalas, even a level 5 grandmaster can't learn the entire formula in one minute let alone a rookie." Ashira said

"Fine, I will let the Yamanaka in my head." Cho agreed suprising the others as she was one of the feisty ones and as a woman she wouldn't like any male reading her memories.

Cho noticed all the stares she was getting as she said "Don't look at me like that. I would do anything if it's for the safety of my children and grandchildren."

Arata Uzumaki who was the head of the eye of kagura branch also agreed making the other fuinjutsu masters also agree.

Ashira could see that some fuinjutsu masters were still reluctant to get their memories checked by a Yamanaka.

"Very well then"

"Yuriko, Bring him in." Ashira said as Yuriko brought a middle aged blonde man inside the meeting room.

"Everyone this is Ren Yamanaka. You all should have heard about him as he is quite famous. He would be checking your memories and he is trustworthy." Ashira introduced the Yamanaka to everyone

The Yamanaka greeted everyone as he assured them that he would only look at the memories that would specify whether they are a traitor or not.

"So who would go first?" Ashira asked

Surprisingly, Cho and Arata volunteered to go first.

"Although it would take only one minute to read their memories. I would have to recover my chakra as a lot of chakra would be used to read only specific memories. So it would take an hour interval for me to check everyone's memories." Ren Yamanaka informed them

Ashira said "Alright, Cho and Arata can stay and after they are done, You all will be called one by one. You all can go back to your homes. But remember You are not allowed to leave the village."

Everyone except Cho and Arata left to their homes pondering who the traitor is. While the traitor(s) were extremely worried.

"Alright Cho San let's get your memories checked." Ren said

"Cut the crap Genkai" Cho snorted as Ren ended his transformation jutsu and transformed back to Genkai.

"Hahaha, I never knew Cho, Genkai and Ashira are such great actors." Arata laughed

"I hope your plan works, Ashira. I can't wait to break all the traitor's bones and heal him and then break him again and then repeat it till I am happy." Cho said which sent a chill to everyone's spine remembering that this woman is also the village's interrogation expert.

"Yuriko, Kota, Hatsu, Hanako keep an eye on them. Detain them if they make any suspicious moves." All of them moved out and followed his orders.

They were all using the anti sensory seals to prevent the sealmasters from sensing them.

"Now all we have to do is wait for the traitor to make a move." Ashira said as he laid back on his seat.
