...........Chapter 59: Eternal City III
...........
"Huh?" Suddenly, one of the spies' eyes couldn't help but constrict as he said in shock, "Tsunade????"
There she was, Tsunade Senju, a descendant of the Senju and Uzumaki Clan, and one of Konohagakure's Sannin, famed as the world's strongest kunoichi and its greatest medical-nin.
However, why is she here? Why is she going into Eternal City's hospital with her student? Why is everyone she passes by saluting her respectfully? It was all too confusing.
Fortunately, they were very far away from Lady Tsunade, thus they weren't noticed.
The man's gasp of surprise was quickly put down by the man next to him as he blocked his mouth with his hand and ordered, "Shush!"
They quickly pulled him and the Coachman to the crowd by the side, slipping away to an alleyway nearby, "Are you stupid? Did you suddenly forget all of your training?"
"I... My mistake, seeing someone like the Tsunade here was too surprising," The spy quickly regained his composure as he said.
"Indeed," The spy leader nodded as he turned his attention to the anxious Coachman, "It was surprising, something you would know about no doubt... So why didn't you tell us?"
"Didn't know! I didn't know! I swear! I-I heard nothing of it last I was here! And, and Eternal News doesn't report much about Eternal City!" The Coachman was about to cry but had no tears.
"Hm? Was it reported on before in the Newspaper?" The spy leader narrowed his eyes, realizing something.
"Few times," The Coachman was stunned but still nodded.
"I understand now, the Newspapers spread in the Land of Rain are different than the ones spread to the rest of the world... They're very secretive," The spy leader realized.
"We have to be more secretive," Another spy nodded.
Thus, they continued on their way, completely dodging the direction of the Hospital, avoiding Tsunade like the plague.
They moved on, mapping the layout of the City as they go... Until they were left speechless yet again as they reached the playground.
Before them was a child and his mom, and the strange one was the child who yelled, "Earth Release: Simple Creations!"
The kid touched the ground as he said that, manifesting a tiny symbol, a very simple symbol that went on to create a chunk of rock that slowly altered into the shape of a Turtle.
"Hahaha! Did it! I did it! Mama Mama! I made a Dog!" The kid jumped in happiness.
"Sweety, that's a Turtle," The Mom corrected with a sweet smile.
"Huh? No, it's a Dog? My friends at school told me it's a Dog?" The kid was confused, "It must be a Dog? It's a Dog." He seemed pretty certain that it was a Dog, not a Turtle.
The Mom's mouth couldn't help but twitch as she let out a chuckle. If she wanted to correct him, she couldn't as she was interrupted by a deafening sound coming from the distance.
The sound didn't seem new to the two as the kid's eyes lit up, jumping up to his feet and begging, "The game started! Mama, please can we watch it?"
The Mom smiled as she asked, "Again? What about your homework?"
"I will do my homework tomorrow! Please please please," The kid begged yet again, mustering up a few tears to touch the heartstrings of his Mom.
"Alright alright," Thus the Mom took his head and took him to the Game, apparently something so appealing not only to him but to all the kids in the playground as they all headed there.
At the destination, there was a stadium, a decent stadium with four stands on each side, nothing crazy, but it had thousands of seats, more than enough.
Within the small Stadium was the Football pitch, perfectly replicated by Isaac in accordance with how it was in his previous world, then massively improved.
It all had to be improved because the way people of this world play Football is very different than that of his previous world.
The improvements include very advanced technology such as a fully projected Goal post with sensors, taking out the need for a Net because it's useless for the type of Football they ball.
Furthermore, the entire pitch is enclosed by a high metallic fence, enforced by Nature Energy to barely be able to handle the force of the players.
The stadium is even overseen by multiple soldiers. There had to be some lest things get out of hand... Why? Because of the source of the deafening sound.
Within the pitch were fourteen individuals, all warming up. That's in contrast to the standard twenty-two players on the field.
Thus, it was a situation of seven versus seven, the most optimal number of players for this way of Football.
The deafening sound echoed again as one of the players kicked the ball from one side of the pitch to the other where there was another player who welcomed the ball with another kick in the air.
The ball was kicked with such force and a way that it made it fly back in a curved pathway, its rotation speed so ridiculous that it created a small hurricane around it.
However, the other player still leaped towards the ball, flipping in the air with his feet ending up falling upon it, sending it to the ground, and leaving a deep hole there.
They had to stop their warmup once they heard that voice.
[Game starting in Thirty] The match has no referee, or rather, the referee is the Overseer, a tiny part of its processing power at least.
They seem very accustomed to destroying the pitch as a player appeared by the hole, tapping the ground and seemingly attracting the ball to him.
They were also accustomed to the pitch repairing itself automatically.
[3... 2... 1... Game Started] The ball had already found itself to the center of the pitch, and the players from the Red Team took their positions in seconds, thus the game started.
This is what makes their Football different, the fact that a player jumped more than six meters in the air in anticipation of the ball, and when it reached his foot, it was lit aflame.
"Fire Release: Blessing of Fire!" The ball was indeed blessed with fire, without the need for hand seals at all.
All they seem to need is to construct runic symbols that seemingly automate the technique for them.
"Earth Release: Wall of The Giants!" However, the ball couldn't reach the goal despite flying towards it from high in the sky for it found itself faced with a giant wall, making it rebound.
"Lightning Release: Blessing of Lightning!" A player from the Green Team took the opportunity to leap towards the ball, meeting it with a kick.
The spies were... Speechless would be an understatement. What's happening? Where am I? What am I? Most importantly, how is the ball intact after all of that?
