Chapter 39 - Coming Home

Time flies fast, It was just the time wherein Lauren and I are cuddling that night when I answered her question. Here she is now giggling with Lorraine's team since she can walk on her own already but it was slow and I was so proud of her.

It's been a month already, the company is going everything was handled with my parents and my wife's parents with also the help of Suzy and Gabbie. I'm still in the old days in the hospital and want to take care of my wife who was so happy as always.

She has been happy around her family and my family, Yujin finally visits and Lauren was weirded out by her when she came because then again she was wearing a full orange outfit and she looks like a Detainee. Lauren was scared at first that she was a bad person but I explained to her that she was a good one and she has some problems with her head that I couldn't also understand but at the end of the day she was laughing and listening to me me me Yujin's story.

Her friends also visited her a few months ago, it was a surprise and Lauren was in therapy at that moment. Ella and Gia couldn't help but cry when she saw them she was improving and she was all giggling together with the team. The girls couldn't help but instantly hug her when the therapy was done but then again Lauren got weirded out by it and even asked them who in the world are they and why did they hug her.

Gabbie explained everything to her and Lauren understands it, her friends just tell her the memories that they made in the past, how they treat each other and who was Lauren's very first best friend and how they met all together. She was confused but I told them to speak one by one because Lauren's head might hurt and they oblige well obviously Lauren got comfortable towards them even asking them when would they come back and I couldn't help but chuckle at that moment.

Jayden, Lauren, and I usually spend time playing one of Jayden's board games, whoever loses we will tickle them for a good one minute and Lauren always loses but we ended up giving her kisses instead because we don't want to tire her out.

Ever since I told her the answer that she's been wanting, she has been a good mother to Jayden I mean she certainly is a good mother in the first place but seeing them bonding again it feels like the old times were back. She told me that I should take Jayden with me every day and of course I oblige because I also want Jayden to spend time with her mother and so do I.

She has been taking care of him and teaching him the good deeds that I told her and she will usually watch a movie with him while I'm doing my work on my laptop.

She wouldn't nap without me, she will whine and tell me that she's bored and I know she just wants to feel my warmth and I couldn't help but chuckle because she looks so cute. It was like in the past times I remember when she was pregnant with Jayden she will get all whiny and pouty and I will kiss it to make go away but today I will just pinch her cheek and hug her tightly until she fell asleep on my chest and I will just admire and swearing to God that I got so lucky because I have her and I get to love on her.

She told to Mommy that she wanted to learn new things like going to school, what she does in the office, and what her talents weree, and Mommy and I talked about it together with my parents. They agreed if the doctor will agree also.

Doctor Adams told us just to take everything easy, Lauren is still in the process of healing and she needs a lot of rest still but he agreed to hire a personal teacher for Lauren.

Mommy hired a professional teacher and I told her to don't go hard on her and just teach the basics. I was just looking at them and I swear Lauren is a fast learner like Jayden. Jayden sometimes is with them and helps her mother to review. They look so cute and I couldn't help but take some pictures of them.

Day by day she was improving, she will show me the achievements that she did she will be giddy about it and told me how much she enjoys every time she learns new things. Another thing that I love about her is that whenever I finished my work she will ask about my day, ask me if I was doing okay, and sometimes massage me.

She was so sweet. I and Jayden ended up sleeping beside her if we get the chance.

The things that she can do right now was write, read and walk or do the people what normally do. She was still curious about the things that she was seeing whenever we walk at the seaside or take her out every night on the rooftop.

That was always our routine, at four in the afternoon we will stay at the seaside we will just hang out there and tell some random stories and at night we will be on the rooftop looking at the stars. She will just cling to me and kay her head on my shoulder and tell me how she got so lucky to meet me and ended up falling asleep.

I've been doing everything for her, the actions that I did even before we got married I still do the same. I showed her how much I care about her, how much I want to be with her and I will never treat her badly because like I'm always reminding her she's my love and my life.

Here I am now watching Lauren doing some unusual things on the clay that Jayden bought two hours ago, Suzy was looking at her weirdly while Diane is watching the television. I swear, Day by Day Lauren's curiosity is weird sometimes. She's trying to make a vase out of one clay and she's already frustrated because she can't shape it well and the size was too small.

Just then, Mommy and Mom came inside the room and they all looked at us and back to Lauren.

"What's happening?" Mommy whispered while I hug them and kiss my mom on the head "she looks so frustrated, is she okay?" Mommy asked worriedly

I couldn't help but chuckle, she looks so cute "She's frustrated because --"

"Mommy" Lauren spoke while pouting

"What's wrong sweetie?" Mommy went to her side and look what she was doing

"I can't shape it very well and the size was too small" She pouted more causing Mom and me to giggle this time

"Aren't you a cutie, Lauren?" Mom said this time and my wife smiled brightly at her

"Hi, Mom!" She said in an energetic tone

"Hello there, what was your problem and what are you doing?"

"Jayden bought this clay for me and I wanted to make a vase but I couldn't make the shape and size is too small"

"Well, Honey. Don't stress yourself about it okay? I'm sure we can make a better one by not using a play dough" Lauren looked at Mom confusedly

"You mean?" She asked

"Well, you see. You love making this kind of thing, you're into pottery and you got it from your Grandparents. When you were still living in Los Angeles you will usually spend time with them by making vases and flower pots whenever you have free time. Your Dad sent it to me secretly because you look so amazed by the feeling of it" Lauren smiled and bit her lip

"Can I see it?" She asked Mommy and Mom looked at each other

"Well, we kinda have a surprise for you. We just need to wait for someone" she nodded excitedly and came back to make the vase.

Mommy and Mom talked to Suzy about the pottery while I also joined. They are planning to add a spare room or use the room outside the house to add the pottery. I'm ready to work again especially she's so into it.

Just then, Doctor Adams came inside the room and Lauren stopped what she was doing, instantly wanting to hold my hands and cling on to me and I found it cute. She will usually do that whenever Doctor Adams will say something. I don't know what she was feeling but I'm positive she was happy that she always has an achievement that she did.

I instantly smiled and went to take her hands on mine and she instantly gripped wanting to know if it is good news or not. One thing I realized about her is that, even though there is bad news that Doctor Adams will say she will never be sad about it. She will usually just rant about it but at the end of the day, she will also accept it and do way better. I could feel that she was getting sick of this place. She was getting bored sometimes especially If I'm not around and so is Jayden.

One night, I remember what she told me she wanted to see where I work, where I trained, and where I dance. She also wanted to see where she work and wanted to meet her employees but one thing that caught my attention, she wanted to visit where we got married and wanted to remember things or try to remember things. I could feel that she was getting frustrated whenever she sees something familiar and she couldn't remember where and what happened.

That's what Doctor Adams is saying, Lauren will be familiar with one thing that she usually does and what she likes but she couldn't remember how to do it and what to do. That's a sign that someday soon her memory will regain again and I can't wait for that moment but if not then I still need to be happy and I always am because she's here with me...she's alive. She's still my wife and nothing will change that.

"So, all the achievements and the reports that my team was saying to me were all positive. Lauren is one of the smartest and easy to get patients when it comes to her Therapy. She easily gets how to do certain things and I can tell that she's gaining her energy back she can walk and control herself already and I guess this is the time wherein.." Doctor Adams looks at Lauren and she gripped my hand as I smiled and kiss the top of her head wanting to know that whatever happens, I will always be by her side

"She can go home in two days" her eyes widened and we cheered. Finally, after a month of staying in the hospital, she's going back home.

When she was in a Coma, whenever I go home I never consider it a 'Home' even though Jayden was there, it was different whenever Lauren was there. The house isn't happy, I'm not complete and so is my son. But, now. Here she is. She's finally coming home. Finally.

"Seriously?" She asked in surprise

"Yes, Lauren. You're finally going home. You did a great job, you showed us that you can go on your own already but you always have to remember that take everything easy. We don't want you to have a headache attack again and always continue drinking your medicines because it will also help you" She smiled brightly and looked at me, I kissed her forehead and hug her from the side rubbing her arms.

"Thank you," she said to Doctor Adams

"You're very welcome," he bowed and turned to our parents who were already happy and jumping. They were so proud "I need to talk to the both of you because of Lauren's medication" They nodded and Mommy kissed Lauren's cheek telling her that she will be back and they left with their smiles on their faces.

Lauren sighed and hugged me while I hugged her back and rub her arms.

"You're going home" I whispered

"Do we have our own house? Where do we live?" She asked while I look at her and smiled

"We live a bit far away from here, we live in a private property since you wanted some privacy. Our house was modern and huge. People will get lost on that house" She chuckled and hid her face on the crook of my neck

"We get to sleep together in a comfortable bed?" I couldn't help but giggle at her question, she usually gets annoyed a lot since the hospital bed is too small and she can't cuddle me properly

"We will, we have a huge bed" She sighs in relief and hug me tightly

"Not to break the moments but I'm still here? I mean us" We heard Suzy's voice and we giggled together. Lauren opened her arms for Diane and the little girl instantly went to her arms.

They became close because Suzy visits regularly. She missed her boss so much that she will work here with me together with Megan and Diane. Lauren is always happy whenever they are around and she will just ask us some random questions whenever she got curious about her work. Suzy was always telling her that she always has a lot of paperwork and will usually evaluate some designs even telling her that she's a soft person to the fashion designers.

Lauren found it so cool and sweet. Another part that I like about whenever they visit Suzy will usually show her the videos that she took when she was working, having interviews, her daily schedule, vlogs that the certain company wanted her to make, Vogue, runaways, photoshoots, and modeling. She was surprised that she can do a lot of things and her body could still handle that works but I could feel that she was proud of herself.

"Sorry," I say to Suzy

"That's fine and oh by the way the two dorks are coming in twenty minutes with a lot of chicken skewers and salads for Lauren. They say they wanted to celebrate" I furrowed my brows while I rub Lauren's thigh.

"Celebrate what?" I asked in confusion

"Because Lauren is coming home"

"You know it beforehand?" I asked while Lauren looked at us but went back playing with Diane

"Yes, Aunt Leslie and Chahee told us and they also wanted to be a surprise to you because you know your anniversary is coming and they wanted you to celebrate it with your wife. For sure, you will take her on a romantic date" I couldn't help but smile, this is the best surprise I've ever had and I will forever cherish it.

"I should thank them,"

"Oh, you should. They couldn't shut up about it" I laugh and the door instantly opened revealing the two dorks. Megan give a peck to her girlfriend and Yujin just rolled her eyes probably bitter since she doesn't have a lover.

"I thought you guys will arrive in twenty?" Suzy asked

"There's no traffic" We nodded and we all looked at Lauren who was looking at the food already. I chuckled

"You hungry?"

"Always" she pout at me and I giggled.

This will surely be the best day of my life
