Ch-1

"The fallen princess is turning into a phoenix," someone whispered.

"Such a pity… Even if she becomes a Queen, she would just be another woman to her husband," someone else patronised.

"He already has a wife,"

"Such a shame,"

"Well… at least we got rid of a murderer,"

"Let those night creatures bear this unlucky woman,"

"I don't need to send food for this stupid princess anymore from now on,"

"This kingdom would be in peace after she leaves,"

"What's going on here?" an elderly voice resounded in the hall. The low chatter melted into silence.

A woman dressed in regal clothing stood atop the stairway. The woman had a certain air of elegance about her, which was only accented by her dark aura.

"It seems to me that you maids do not know how to serve people of royal status. Least of all respect them." she looked down at them in disgust. "This behavior would only bring trouble to the future Queen of The Vampire Kingdom, who is coming here from the other species," The King's mother Eudora said. The royal Vampiress didn't look any less than a lady version of a Yama king.

"Guards!" she yelled.

A line of guards assembled in the royal corridors near the fallen princess' chambers. This was a surprise since on the way to the princess' chambers, no guard should be present. But it was an order and there were exceptions like now when it was the Mother of King who had given them.

"Behead these stupid low-level vampire servants," Eudora intructed.

Eudora Clementine Dee, the former Queen, had ruled the Vampire kingdom with an iron fist. Even the king was useless next to her. If she let the king rule the kingdom as he wished… then she would have been kicked out long ago. The former Vampire king was known for being a playboy among women.

Vampires weren't capable of giving birth to offspring. They would select a few capable humans and turn them into vampires with their blood.

All the royal descendants were the result of Queen Eudora's blood except for Lenora. She was turned into a vampire by the king.

But Queen Eudora was older than her husband and as an older vampire, she had much more strength and abilities. Thus, Lenora was looked down on for being weaker. But Queen Eudora never showed any disparity and gave her equal love as she was innocent.

But perhaps that story was for another time.

The maids' screams filled the corridor.

"Your highness, why do you care about a murderer? She is nothing but bad luck! She even killed your daughter! We are just expressing the truth! What's wrong with that," a maid protested, giving up the small chance of survival.

"This kingdom was once ruled by me. And the king is my son. Even he obeys me and doesn't talk back to me. And you dare to question my judgement?" Eudora seethed.

Her eyes gleamed red, her fangs growing out. She was pissed.

"It is none of your concern what she has done. Your only place in this palace is to do your job! Anything against a royal leads to beheading according to the rules. You have sinned by censuring a royal. Whether she is stripped of her title or not, it has nothing to do with you. Royal blood is flowing in her veins thus she is still a royal! Got it?!"

The maid winced.

"Not only her but others too! In the end, no one gets to insult royal blood!" Eudora went on and she walked into the corridor of the princess' chambers.

The sinned princess, Lenora Sarafina Velorine was famous for her beauty and brains. But it was said that one day Lenora got jealous of her sister's suitors and her sister's life and she killed her in cold blood. And Lenora pleaded guilty.

She was whipped with a hundred floggings that same day. And that was not even the end, the smart princess was stripped from her position.

Even though she was not raised by her mother, she was raised by her stepmother equally along with her blood daughter. Lenora has a pleasant childhood thanks to Eudora. But since two years ago when she was framed for her sister's death, she never spoke about the incident. She looked directly into the old king's eyes and pleaded guilty. Nobody knew why she did it… but only she knew what truly happened.

Eudora entered the chambers of the fallen princess to give her a new life. A new prison.
