Missed Marriage : Loving Losing

That afternoon the weather was very hot, Liana immediately parked her motorbike in her garage.

"Lia... Why did it take you so long to come home?". Her mother asked when Lia was about to enter the house.

"What is going on?". Lia asked back without answering her mother's question with a curious expression.

"In the living room there is Danu who has been waiting for you". Her mother answered.

Hearing Danu's name, Lia couldn't help but smile because Danu was a future husband whom she loved very much.

Lia and Danu have been dating for five years, and they are already planning to get married. However, Lia was confused as to why Danu suddenly came even though Danu had promised to come in two days with his family to propose.

"Ehm... your beloved came". Her mother mocked Lia's shoulder.

Of course Lia felt embarrassed at being ridiculed by her mother, but she was very happy.

Without saying anything, Lia rushed into the house with a big smile.

"Danu...". Lia said after she was in the living room.

Danu immediately turned to Lia with a complicated expression.

Lia also felt something strange with Danu's expression which was not like usual.

"You just got home?". Danu asked awkwardly.

"Yes, there was a meeting that's why I came home late. Why didn't you call if you wanted to come?". Lia sat on the sofa opposite Danu's seat.

Danu looked doubtful so he started to shut up.

"Why are you silent? Is there a problem with our proposal day?". Lia asked in surprise.

Danu is still silent and looks confused. Lia is also silent because she doesn't know what else to say. Immediately, she began to feel uneasy.

Not long after, Danu looked at Lia with a complicated look. After that Danu held out an invitation and placed it on the table.

"What is this? Why do I feel bad?". Lia thought.

With trembling hands, Lia took the paper from the table.

"Letter of invitation?". Lia asked before she read the entire contents of the invitation letter.

"Yes". Danu answered nervously.

"Do you want me to accompany you to your friend's wedding? That's why you gave this invitation to me?". Lia asked again.

"Read first, Lia!". Ask Danu.

Hesitantly, Lia opened and read the invitation letter. The names were written as Danu Prayoga and Ratna.

With a sad expression on her face, Lia looked at Danu.

Her body was shaking, her face was pale.

"Why is your name written on this invitation?". asked Lia in a nervous voice.

"Then who is this Ratna?". Lia asked again.

"Just come Lia, later you will also know!". Ask Danu.

Lia is still shocked by Danu's request, it feels like a dream, no rain, no wind, and suddenly gets bad news. The application that is only 2 days away is now a story.

With a face that radiates sadness, Lia still can't accept the fact that she is being toyed with like this.

"Why do you have the heart to do this to me? Where do I want to put my face?". Lia asked while crying holding Danu's sleeve.

A helpless Lia tries to convince Danu that she will be a loyal and obedient wife.

But all her efforts were in vain and useless, Danu who couldn't bear to see Lia constantly crying and begging to him finally turned his gaze and intended to leave.

"Then I'll excuse myself, Lia". Danu said with a guilty face.

Danu finally got up from his seat and got out and left Lia just like that.

Lia was still shocked to see the invitation letter delivered by Danu, Lia's face turned pale, her tears kept flowing non-stop down her cheeks.

"Why did Danu come home so early?". Asked her mother who had just arrived bringing drinks and snacks.

"Yes, Danu here only delivers invitations". Lia answered while handing the invitation to her mother.

Her mother, who did not know the problem of her child was confused as to why there were tears on her child's face.

Finally her mother took the invitation and slowly opened the invitation. Instantly she fell unconscious from shock.

"Mother.....wake up!". Lia shouted in a loud voice.

"Help! help!". shouted Lia frantically.

Finally Lia took her mother to the hospital for treatment, because Lia was afraid that something might happen to her mother.

Lia feels more and more sad, her tears are like rain that doesn't stop dripping.

Lia feels sorry for her mother.

A few hours later the doctor came out, Lia who was sitting on the chair immediately woke up asking how her mother was with a panicked face.

"You are patient, your mother's life can not be helped". The doctor said while holding Lia's shoulder.

Lia trembled sitting on the ground, her tears flowing like a storm. Her face turned red as if she held a grudge against Danu.

It's all because of you Danu, you're the one who ruined my life and you're the one who made my mother die, you have to pay for everything, Danu". Lia thought.

"Maybe if Lia didn't give her mother the invitation, her mother wouldn't faint and wouldn't leave her". Lia said while crying, hugging her mother's body.

Lia, who lived alone without a mother and father now only lamented her fate, how Lia continued her next life.

Lia's suffering is complete, her wounds have not healed about her failed proposal with Danu. Now she has to accept the reality of losing her mother.
