Spread Like a Plague
Arden came into the old house about half an hour later. He peeked through the doorway and found Runa lying on the sofa, where he used to sleep. Runa was already asleep, defenseless as if she was sleeping in her own house.
Arden carefully stepped closer, then bent down to observe her cheeks.
The wound is gone.
Luckily Arden found Runa as soon as possible and healed her, and the wound wasn't deep or hit any vital organs. If that were to happen, it would take several days for Runa to fully recover and, of course, Arden couldn't treat her wound without telling her anything.
He could hear soft snoring from Runa's nose, along with her breath.
What she did in Delmara earlier was very dangerous. Fighting humans who are possessed by a powerful demon. The demon could have moved into Runa's body and lived there like a parasite.
