That incident felt like a dream.
Arden, who was lifeless in Runa's arms, now stood with his usual arrogance, leaning on one of the bookshelves in the library of his house.
Runa still couldn't believe that she was the one who saved Arden from death.
But that now seemed unimportant, as Arden said her father had made her the guarantor of his pact with the devil.
To what extent was her father actually hiding from her?
Roderick led them into the house and headed straight for the library. After that, neither of them spoke. Roderick was busy looking for something in the small room in the library's corner, and Runa, Ethan, and Arden were waiting by the wooden table in the middle of the room.
After their quarrel earlier, Runa hasn't spoken to Arden. She knew it wasn't right to blame Arden, but she didn't know who else to pour the tightness in her heart right now.
