Let It Be a Memory
Mandy and Ethan floated in the air past the gate, then they fell into the cold water. Fierce waves rolled over their bodies. Mandy, who was not ready and did not expect that she would fall into the ocean, drank so much salt water.
Her nose was runny from inhaling the water and she thought she would die.
Mandy was flailing for the air, trying to push herself up. But the panic that seized her only made her sink even more.
She was almost lost in the waves until Ethan saved her. He lifted Mandy to the surface by wrapping his arms under her armpits.
"You can't swim?!" asked Ethan.
It was pouring, and the sky above their heads was full of dark clouds. The wind howled and made the seas rage. A storm was hitting this place.
"I can!" Mandy replied. She coughed and vomited water. "But I drank too much water!"
"Hold on!" Ethan shouted. "We're not that far from the beach!"
