Dusk

Runa stepped into the old house but found no one there. Her heart sank in disappointment. She had already imagined she would see Arden lying on the sofa with his eyes closed.

While waiting for Arden's arrival, Runa took a cigarette and lit it. She smoked it while playing with her cell phone. The atmosphere of the afternoon made her sleepy. Her eyes felt heavy, forcing her to close them.

Runa threw her cigarette on the floor and stepped on it until the embers went out. After that, she fell asleep.

In her sleep, Runa had a dream.

She saw an angel with golden wings. The spread of its wings obscured her view of the sun. In both hands of the angel was a sword made of blazing fire.

The angel raised its sword high and echoed a series of words in a language that Runa didn't understand.

After that, the angel drew its sword at Runa. Runa screamed, but she couldn't move. All she could do was close her eyes and cover her face with both hands.
