However, Lexine was right. Why did her ancestors not retaliate even after their allies were killed? Why did they not do anything? She had always felt that her ancestors were filled with kindness and that is why they did not do anything to harm the humans who came, stole their eggs, and killed their families. Now that Lexine had pointed it out, if anyone even dared harm her brother, she would be the one to hurt them. So why did the dragons not retaliate? Even as they sat, she still thought all these thoughts.
She did not speak to her housemates as they took their seats at the front. Sevin was laughing over something Lexine had said. Lexine was glaring at the seat that was next to Quira. She grumbled something under her breath before taking a seat. "Quira, can you please help me with my backpack?"
Quira nodded and summoned her walking wardrobe and handed Lexine the bag.
"Thanks." Lexine immediately rummaged through the contents of the bag.
