In a quiet laboratory in New York City, a brilliant scientist named Dr. Rebecca Owens was working on an experimental project involving advanced genetic manipulation. One fateful night, during a violent thunderstorm, a lightning bolt struck the laboratory, causing an explosion. When the smoke cleared, Rebecca was nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile, in another dimension, a cosmic entity known as The Watcher observed the events on Earth. Intrigued by the explosion and the disappearance of Dr. Owens, The Watcher decided to investigate further. To his amazement, he discovered that Rebecca had been transported to the world of Marvel Comics, where superheroes and supervillains existed.
