Chapter 60: Iron Man's Embarrassment

The lights came on, and the video began to play.

At the start, Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff sat together, with Natasha applying medication to Tony's face, which had a noticeable injury.

"To be honest, I can't figure you out," Tony Stark said, feeling Natasha's delicate fingertips. "Where are you from?"

"The legal department," Natasha Romanoff's fingers continued to move.

"Can I ask you a hypothetical question?" Tony Stark looked up at Natasha. "It's a strange question: if this were your last birthday party, how would you celebrate?"

"I would be with whoever I wanted and do whatever I wanted," Natasha Romanoff stood up from Tony Stark's couch and walked away.

"Stark, what did you mean by that? Are you going to die?" Thor couldn't help but ask.

"It's probably due to palladium poisoning," Tony Stark said. "My palladium poisoning is getting worse, and I can't find a solution. So, I became disheartened and thought I didn't have much time left."

The scene shifted, showing a party with Tony Stark in his armor, spinning records, thoroughly enjoying himself.

The music was deafening, and the party was filled with all kinds of beautiful women, shouting and screaming while Stark, in his armor, danced and showed off.

Tony Stark was so engrossed in this lavish lifestyle that he didn't even notice Pepper Potts walking into the crowd, watching him.

The scene shifted again, this time outside the party in a car. James Rhodes was on the phone, saying, "Yes, sir, I understand."

It was unclear what the superior officer replied, but James Rhodes quickly said, "No, there's no need. I'll handle it. Sir, I guarantee that Iron Man will be back in action within 24 hours."

"Based on the opening, it seems like James Rhodes is the one who took the armor," Clint Barton said.

"It certainly can't be Miss Potts," Phil Coulson added.

"I think I understand what's going on," Tony Stark already guessed the upcoming plot.

"What do you all understand?" Thor, looking confused, asked. "Can you let me in on it too?"

As expected, James Rhodes entered the party and looked around. He spotted Pepper Potts.

"Hey, Pepper," James Rhodes approached Pepper Potts.

"I'm leaving. I need some fresh air," Pepper Potts turned to leave.

"What's wrong?" James Rhodes asked.

"I don't know what to do," Pepper Potts turned around, looking at the attention-grabbing Tony Stark at the party.

At that moment, Tony Stark, holding a bottle of alcohol, staggered and couldn't even stand properly, then fell to the ground with a loud thud.

But Tony Stark didn't feel ashamed; instead, he let out a triumphant laugh.

James Rhodes's face changed at the absurd sight of Tony Stark. He turned to leave, saying, "That's enough, I'm going..."

"No, no, no, don't call anyone," Pepper Potts grabbed James Rhodes's arm.

"This is ridiculous!" James Rhodes pointed at Tony Stark in the party, his face filled with anger. "I just vouched for him!"

"I know, let me handle it," Pepper Potts tried to calm James Rhodes's anger. "Let me handle it, okay? Let me handle it."

"I'll handle him," James Rhodes decided to give Tony Stark another chance, saying to Pepper Potts, "Or I'll do it myself."

"We all know that the question I get asked the most is how I go to the bathroom in the armor," Tony Stark, completely unaware that his best friend and future wife were worried about him, continued his reckless behavior. After asking that question, he had a satisfied look on his face, as if he had just solved a physiological problem in the armor.

"Just like that," Tony Stark laughed heartily, unable to contain himself and unable to stand up straight.

Laughter erupted throughout the party.

"This guy really knows how to throw a party, doesn't he?" Pepper Potts walked up, snatching the microphone from Tony Stark's hand.

"Yes!" the party erupted in cheers.

"I love you," Tony Stark loudly proclaimed to Pepper Potts.

"Stark, are you serious about this confession?" Clint Barton couldn't help but ask.

"Of course not, that's just me speaking without a filter because I'm dying," Tony Stark blushed, quickly denying it.

"Stark, I understand. It's like when someone uses being drunk as an excuse to say things they wouldn't dare say," Thor patted Tony Stark on the shoulder. "This is probably something you've kept hidden in your heart for a long time, right?"

"The Prince of Asgard understands love now?" Tony Stark pushed Thor's hand away. "Just watch the show."

In the video, Pepper Potts clearly didn't take Tony Stark's sudden confession to heart, thinking it was another one of his crazy statements.

"Incredible, thank you, Tony," Pepper Potts held the microphone, smiling at Tony Stark. "Thank you for arranging such a wonderful evening, but it's time to say goodnight. Thank you all for coming."

A chorus of boos erupted in the party.

"No, wait! Hold on!" Tony Stark didn't want it to end there, saying to Pepper Potts, "We haven't even cut the cake or blown out the candles."

"You've lost control," Pepper Potts told Tony Stark. "Trust me."

"You're the one who's out of control," Tony Stark couldn't help but say.

"It's time to go to bed," Pepper Potts said.

"Kiss me again."

"You just peed in the armor."

"I know, it has a filtration system, and the filtered water is drinkable."

At this point, everyone in the room couldn't take it anymore.

"Stark, can't you be more disgusting!" Thor moved away from Tony Stark as if he had seen a plague.

"Stark, you always manage to exceed my expectations," Phil Coulson's voice was calm, but like Thor, he distanced himself from Tony Stark.

"Stark, do me a favor," Clint Barton pointed at the video. "If one day you actually do something like that, please don't say that I know you."

"That won't happen!" Tony Stark's face turned red, wishing he could find a hole to hide in.
