Bryan is a 17 year old middle schooler who died in a bus crash alongside his classmates. They all ended up meeting various gods and goddesses from another dimension who chose them to be their representatives. One by one his teammates get assigned their jobs and op gear as they get teleported to the planet below. A couple of minutes pass and the summoning room is now empty, no one chose Bryan to gain their blessing so now he’s stuck here. As he wanders around aimlessly he finds a boarded up door at the end of a run down hallway. He opens the door and finds himself in a broken down... library? He eventually finds a book and out of curiosity he opened it...... SCIENTIST!?! He had been given a useless skill. in a world filled with magic and danger, the only thing he got was a PHD. Will he be a hero like he’s always wanted, or get clapped by a single goblin.... only time can tell.

27 people died in a bus crash on Hakinawa highway 12 miles away from camp Makasuni. 4 of them were adults ( three were teachers, the other was the driver ) and the rest were students ranging from ages 15 to 17. A few hours after the crash all family's had been notified and the story was already front page, everyone was talking about it. how could they not, an entire class of people died due to a,
" unidentified mechanical mishap"
that blew out part of the underground tunnel they were passing through. the only things that remained were mangled flesh, shattered bones, and unrecognizable faces. The theory is that the engine blew out which killed most of the passengers, the rest are presumed to have died in the crash. yup, what a tragedy, 27 innocent people who were ready for a week of fun times and childhood memories brutally died faster than they could figure out what was happening.
Well... 28, the number of people who died that day was actually 28. I know what your thinking, they didn't find the body right? no... he just wasn't counted. The forgotten number, the boy who nobody knew nor remembers was called
Bryan.
no last name, for he had no family. He was an orphan living at the Blissfield orphanage. It doubled as a private school. thanks to his exceptional grades he had made a name for himself among the school faculty, being first pick for math and language competitions.... he always brought home gold.
yeah, he made a name for himself, not where it mattered though. to everyone else he.... didn't exist.
he wasn't complaining, its better than getting bullied that's for sure. but he wasn't strong... he was just a little smarter than average. he had to be, otherwise he would have literally died years ago.
he could stop going to school, or disappear entirely. No one would notice, no one would care.
The only escape he had from his life, were comic books. stories of heroes saving people from evil.
Its not that he wanted to be one, he just wanted to be saved, but who could save him from himself?
Ahhh, what does that matter now... he died, no grave, no nothing. In his last pathetic moments he didn't think of himself, he just hoped everyone else was in better shape than him.

worried about people who didn't even know his face... begging the powers that be for him to be the only casualty.
unfortunately for him the very gods he was praying for mercy from, were the ones behind all this. Unbeknownst to him, his and everyone on that buses lives were thrown like dice....

and even in his new life..... he'd still be an existence found at the bottom of the barrel.
