Chapter 1Rebel

"Of course, she is amazingly calm and listen to this, when she was little, if I place her in one position and leave the place, once I get back I still meet her there." Luana flattered and giggled.

The royals she was talking to laughed with her and smiled.

"How surprising, I have heard that she is um..." The duke paused and looked at the duchess who smiled nervously at Luana and Patrick then back at them.

"Unethical and rebellious" The duke continued.

Luana's and Patrick's smiles disappeared immediately but then they busted into the strangest forced laughter.

"No, no, it must be a rumor, our dear daughter is highly obedient, calm and ethical" Patrick defended and placed his hand on Luana's as a signal to go get their daughter.

The duke and duchess nodded slowly though not really agreeing with Luana and Patrick.

"I will um.. go get her" Luana suddenly uttered and stood up, maintaining a nervous smile.

She walked out of the sitting room and to the hallway, bumped into Dina who was actually running to meet her in the first place.

"What's wrong?" Luana gasped and held Dina by her shoulders.

Dina's face looked like all of her blood had been drained out of her body.

"The... S..he I..." Dina stuttered at the same trembling.

Luana's eyes widened in shock as she immediately realised what was happening. She immediately sprang up and ran all the way to her daughter's room, the window was wide open and the cool night breeze blew all the curtains in the room.

Luana frowned in anger.

"OLYMPIA!"

...

"My lady this is not a good idea" The timid and nervous looking brown haired girl named Lola informed, trembling.

"Oh, it is not the first time, look it's the full moon festival and I want to eat some festival cakes" The excited golden haired Olympia refused excitedly as they walked past the lake.

"Dina can make you festival cakes, my lady," Lola insisted nervously.

"Yes, but her cakes are not as yummy as the ones particularly from the festival" Olympia stated and started skipping joyfully.

Lola groaned in frustration, as usual, Olympia always won arguments especially in situations like this.

DING! DONG! DING! DONG!

"Lady Olympia has escaped!"

Olympia and Lola knew that announcement, it came from the mansion, which wasn't far from the lake and forest. The announcement was made every time, Olympia escaped from the mansion.

Lola was terrified of her life, she was Olympia's personal maid and was actually meant to keep an eye on her, not go with her to a festival.

"Oh no! My lady, we have to go back!" Lola shouted fear filled.

"No, I need those cakes now let's go" Olympia uttered stubbornly, sprang up immediately and ran into the forest as fast as she could. Even with so much hesitation and heavy breathing, Lola eventually ran after her.

They arrived at the small town which was as bright and festive as it was supposed to be. The road was crowded and carriages passed by occasionally, which made Olympia happy because it would be hard to catch her.

They finally stopped running and started walking slowly to scan their surroundings which was extremely festive. So many decorations on each house, music was played while some partners danced together laughing happily.

Lola was nervous and scared, she hugged Olympia's arm and sighed deeply.

"Don't worry, they won't find us now"

"That's what I am afraid of," Lola said nervously.

"Stop worrying Lola" Olympia's groaned and placed her head on Lola's shoulder who was two inches shorter than her.

Lola smiled faintly.

"I am afraid you will get hurt, remember that you are meeting your future husband soon" Lola reminded.

"Yes, I am aware of that," Olympia uttered and sighed deeply.

After a long night and a lot of festival cakes, Olympia and Lola returned back to the mansion. They were going to sneak in but found furious looking Luana and Patrick immediately the guards opened the doors for them.

The color of Lola's face drained while Olympia laughed nervously.

"Mother, father, what are you doing up late?"

"Lola, you can excuse yourself" Patrick said sternly to Lola.

Lola bowed at him immediately and obeyed.

"You are really going to keep doing this Olympia?" Luana asked worriedly. Seeing her mother's worried expression, Olympia felt guilty but when she wanted to utter a word to defend herself, "Don't, do not speak" Patrick instructed furiously.

Olympia immediately swallowed her words and bowed her head to avoid her worried looking mother's face and her furious father.

"You are going to get married yet you keep behaving like a child, when are you going to stop this rebellious act of yours' ' Patrick scolded, he was disappointed and he had had enough. Olympia was far out of control even though she knew the dangers and that baffled him.

"When are you going to stop doing this?" Luana asked at the brink of tears.

Olympia felt so bad for putting her parents in this emotional rollercoaster. She had always been scolded whenever she disappeared like this but this was the first time they were filled with so much emotion, they were literally oozing out emotions.

She lifted her head and forced a smile.

"I don't want to get married mother," She trailed and bowed her head once again, this time lowering her voice. "I really don't"

Luana and Patrick looked at themselves wearing stunned and nervous expressions then back at their daughter. Patrick took a deep breath and walked towards Olympia who immediately moved away and lifted her head. She forced a smile, waved and immediately walked away.

"Patrick '' Luana called with a deep sigh, her hands on her chest. Patrick turned to her looking disappointed.

"She will feel better tomorrow," Luana whispered with an assured tone.

"She will stop this behavior of hers when she gets married, she will be more mature and open minded," Luana added.

Patrick nodded slowly then moved his gaze to the direction Olympia disappeared to.

"Yes, I am sure she will."

.

"Do they really think that I am a child Dina?" Olympia looked glum.

Dina smiled and caressed Olympia's silky golden hair. She really admired the stubborn girl.

"You are their child Olympia and you are very defiant" Dina whispered calmly.

"That is because I want to be free, not caged like a bird," Olympia frowned.

"Is this how you will behave to your husband?" Dina suddenly asked mockingly.

"Tsk. Husband. How can I marry someone I don't know? It doesn't make any sense to me" Olympia was really angry. It was just yesterday that her parents told her about the news, she was going to get married to someone who will protect her.

Protect her from what?

She read books about the golden phoenixes who got wiped out because of jealous beings but she didn't care, because she wasn't scared and she had never thought that she would even be scared of something or someone.

"Do you know who I am getting married to? Mother and father didn't tell me anything" Olympia asked Dina curiously.

Dina's smile immediately disappeared which made Olympia very suspicious and stunned.

"What? Tell me" She persuaded and caught Dina's wrist.

Dina forced a smile and cleared her throat.

"I am just a maid and matter what, this is confidential and can be only answered by your parents that is, if they want to tell you"

"What! Could you spill a little information? please" Olympia pleaded, forming a cute face, shaking Dina's arm by holding her wrist.

Dina laughed and shook her head negatively.

"Fine," She whispered, looking around the room then back at curious, eager Olympia. "He is very powerful"

Olympia groaned in frustration while Dina busted into laughter.

"That is it? You can't tell me anything? How wicked" She busted into fake tears, frowned and started sulking.

"I am sorry Olympia, I cannot tell you anything" Dina apologized and laughed.

Olympia frowned and released Dina's wrist then snuggled on the bed. Dina smiled and shook her head negatively then covered Olympia's body with the blanket.

"Dina?" Olympia called, her eyes closed.

"What is it, Olympia?" Dina asked and got off from the bed.

"What kind of danger am I in?"

Dina sighed deeply, closed her eyes and cleared her throat. Ever since Olympia was little, Olympia kept asking her this particular question before she fell asleep. Dina couldn't answer the question because she didn't know the answer to it neither did Patrick and Luana. Dina knew that only the magical and mystical beings knew about it, they knew what kind of danger the golden phoenix was in.

"As usual, you don't reply, Dina," Olympia whispered sleepily.

"Yes, my lady, yes," Dina whispered.

"Dina?" Olympia called again.

Dina was stunned. It was the first time Olympia called her after asking her usual question.

"What is it, Olympia?" She asked curiously.

"Do you think that he can protect me?" Olympia suddenly asked.

"You know his name Olympia, you know that he is that he is a powerful being, you know that he is the king and you know that he is strong enough to protect you"

Olympia's emerald eyes fluttered open filled with mixed emotions.

"Mystic"
