Chapter 132: Chilling with pals part 1

Once my family left I went to a huge bar in the swimming pool room to clear my mind. I was just hanging out with my pals. The pool was empty since it was late. Beside my men on patrol from either inside or outside.

Mostly everybody was likely asleep or they were hanging out somewhere. I didn't have any curfew rules on when anybody had to turn in. My only late-night rule was all the women and children of any age could no longer go outside. Unless I gave my impression to have a bonfire. Then they could be outside nearby the mansion. But if they wanted to go for a late-night swim. They had to do it indoors.

"How did that meeting go?" Asked Kia a Highest-ranker from Nick's Division.

"It went well," I told. "Better than I expected. How's the search for these spies?"

Next to me sitting, Kai informed me. "Haven't found any but we're still looking. As soon as we find them it will be reported to you, immediately."

"Good, keep up the search." I praised, "If we can find them we can question those ladies."

"Oh, no worry they will be found and delivered directly to you." Across from me, said Richard a Highest-ranker from JJ's Division.

"That's what I like to hear." I chuckled at him knowing he loves interrogating anyone.

"So how is our future Primary Queen doing?" Kai asked.

After taking a drink, I replied. "I think she's okay, a little shaken. Hopefully, this incident taught her a lesson. But she looked very happy whenever JJ got her slave mark off."

"Good, she shouldn't be marked as a slave," Josh said sitting by Richard. "Everyone will keep an eye on her but as you requested we will not interfere. And let her have the space."

I nodded,"hopefully, tomorrow she can get out and walk around."

By Josh, Jay says, "I've heard word Maria may not be back tomorrow."

"Isn't John supposed to be coming back?" I asked. "He's on duty and I need him here by tomorrow."

Jay said, "John's coming back with Jake. Since Jake has training tomorrow. I already told John after Jake's training, he can go back to his mother if he wants."

I replied, "that's fine, as long as John makes sure Jake is at training."

Jay told. "He'll be here, John is reliable. He's one of my top guys for a reason. He just has his family to care for right now."

"That's fine with me," I said making sure.

Jay teased changing the topic and looked at Nick across from him. "Nick, I'm surprised you're still up! You keep saying you wanna go lay down."

"Yeah, I'm surprised too." Nick replied laughing, "I just keep going."

"Samantha sleeping?" I asked him beside my left.

"I carried her to bed. Not that matters, I wake up and she's back in bed with me anyways. I'm monitoring from my phone in case she wakes up without me in the room." Nick replied setting his drink down.

"What do you expect she's only five?" Mike laughed. "She's still a baby."

"I'm not complaining," said Nick. "One day she'll be ready for her own room."

"Isn't that the truth," Jay said çhuckling. "I wonder if Sally's asleep have you checked on her, Cory?"

"No," I replied. "I just came here. I figured if she was awake, she'd want to be alone anyways."

Mike said sitting by Jay. "Don't be so sure about that. You gotta remember she went through a traumatic experience today. She might need you and you wouldn't even know it."

"Could be possible but I told her if she needs me. She just needs to get me even if I'm sleeping." I explained.

Mike said smirking a scheme. "That's good. However, I feel you both need to go on a vacation."

"What?" I raised my brow at where this was going.

"Just hear me out." Mike restarted. "A vacation could help benefit your bond connect. I bet she's never been on one. Most of us could use one your family went on one. It's about due time we all go on one."

I laughed and said the obvious. "You only wanna go for the women! Knowing my luck you'll be like Nick over here who had to marry an average girl!"

Nick said chuckling. "You don't wanna do that! Although, I must say a vacation does sound pretty good right now."

"See, even Nick is agreeing with me," Mike said laughing. "We didn't even get to go with your family when they went."

I rolled my eyes. "That's because I didn't want to go and put up with Rachel! We had work to do since we were behind, you know that."

"Why did you even start courting her?" Jay asked çhuckling. "She has this Kingdom in an uproar. Most of the ladies are acting like such snobs!"
