Chapter 131: Spying in meeting Part 2

• Matt and Mike entered the meeting room. "I think she's heading to bed since it's dim light," Matt said taking a seat at the table with Mike. "We got a load of information from her, more than enough."

"You guys did well," I said. "Gives me something to work with. Also, I realize we need to push forward on this wedding. But how can we do that without her feeling pressured by it?"

"Maria," Kaiser answered. "Use Maria, Sally is more comfortable with her. Encourage their friendship together."

"I'll try that," I said. "Now, Aaron what did you have for us on the surveillances?"

"Well, the surveillance cameras showed she got the medical supplies from the kitchen and cut her arm getting that tracker out. I am surprised she could do that. Women cannot do that. They wouldn't be able to emotionally stomach it with the pain." Aaron shared.

I added, "that one surprised me. She even slipped by me by lying. I knew she was acting weird before she left. She thought of a clever way to get around me to cover up what she was doing. She's learned I can read her. So she came up with a different topic so I couldn't read what she was up to."

The first Elder spoke. "Sally has more control than she is aware. She's more clever than we anticipated. We all need to watch her and see what gifts she'll develop. We have no idea what to expect from her."

"We all need to keep a close eye on her. Without making her feel we are over baring her. I'd let her be. Maybe this will draw her into wanting and needing you, Cory." Grandfather Phil suggested.

I nodded, "I already mentioned this to my men. If they see her out they are to leave her alone. Unless she requires something. If she wants me they're to bring her to me. Even if I am at a meeting or busy."

"I'll use the spy cameras to check in on her from time to time. And see what she's actively doing in her moments behind closed doors," said Aaron.

"This could be beneficial," Matt stated.

Aaron said laughing. "From those spy cams, I run into countless things. I found out men and women are courting, that I didn't even realize they were counting. It's the same with the teens."

"There isn't much that goes unnoticed in this Kingdom," I said with a chuckle.

"Well, you guys do what you need to do." Grandfather Phil asked, "So tell me what of this tracker. Do we know anything about it?"

Aaron replied. "It is deactivated now. It's an old device, I think someone placed it in her wrist whenever she was an infant. It's nothing the businessman would use."

Nick shared. "The group who knapped her as an infant could be the ones who did it. Perhaps someone out there didn't dismiss the legend of the Grand Duchess. They're just waiting for the right time to reclaim her. They hid her in the underground slavery orphanage among the businessman Kind. Those underground slavery orphanages are close to being untraceable."

"That's what I'm suspicious of," thinking the first Elder said. "There could be someone watching her location."

"Perhaps she's only just developing in her mutation. Nobody has any idea what she'll be capable of doing someday. Whoever originally owned that tracker might be waiting on the side unseen." Jay told his opinion.

"Soon will find out who they're," I said. "This will be investigated and will run constant bloodwork on her to see if there might be any changes. In the meantime, we all need to get back to work."

Mike said chuckling, "we have been working and haven't stopped!"

I said laughing. "I mean the men I've given three days off are to get back to work. Training starts tomorrow for everyone. We also have payback coming for our enemies."

"And what do you plan on doing with that?" Dominic asked scoffing.

"Most likely nothing you'll like," I harshly replied.

Dominic said in a cold tone. "I don't agree with most of your methods!"

Grandfather Phil spoke, "what Cory does keeps us from falling. Even if it's cruel measurements. Somethings have to be done this way."

Dominic then got up out of his seat and said. "Well in that case I will take my leave. No sense in getting into an argument over this." He and his men walked up the narrow staircase and left closing the door behind them.

"I think it's time for us to end the meeting. We need our rest. In due time, there will be a planned attack on Kyle's Kingdom." I said wanting to wrap this up.

Kaiser randomly mentioned. "You haven't found anymore spies perhaps there aren't any."

I chuckled and said. "This isn't over with. I know there are more spies and finding them takes time. Nonetheless, they will be found."
