Ch 189: Time with JJ

Inside the open kitchen, JJ and I were baking up a storm. I giggled to think I had no idea he knew how to cook for being a Primary.

This kitchen was built similar to the one at Tony's mansion. The dining room was attached to it and it was filled with long vertically set tables. Two long horizontally placed bars were alongside the kitchen with a spacious entry between both bars Then the kitchen was a wide and long strip. We were kinda standing between the spaced gap of both left and right bars behind us.

I helped JJ bake up some strawberry lemon moist bread cake. JJ also mixed me up a warm berry leaf tea which was delicious to sip on. While we were waiting for the bread to bake inside the one oven compartment since there were multiple oven compartments to choose from. JJ sliced up some more lemons to put on our golden-made plates.

"I never would have guessed you knew how to bake," I said impressed to watch him slice these lemons up perfectly.

"Now that's funny." JJ chuckled while he continues cutting the lemon when asking, "why would you say that?"

"It's not something I'd expect from you guys. But then again, I was shocked when Cory told me he's gone berry picking." I giggled replying amused to watch his hands.

JJ laughed and said as he was putting the knife and cutting broad into the one sink compartment by him. "Well, yes, us guys are taught these kinda things. The married men will sometimes cook for their wives or even as a family they will bake together. However, the female servants, slaves, and Highest-ranked ladies will do more of the so-called women's work."

"Ok, that I get but you're not married. I guess it just came as a surprise." I chuckled truthfully and began to hand wash the dishes we used in the sink.

JJ laughed and said as he was washing dishes with me. "Cory's mother is big into tea parties and baking sweets. Naturally, when we were young, Amelia and my mother taught us these skills."

I nodded and replied surprised. "That makes more sense. I didn't know you had a mother. Were you adopted from the Maternity Bio Factory?"

JJ smiled and said as he started to dry the dishes that we had cleaned. "No, I have birth parents. My father was Tony's General Commander in the same Division field. All Kings have their own six General Commanders or short for Generals. Just like how the Primary Kings have the Primaries. The Primary rank is higher than the General rank because we are stronger and solely help the Head King run the Kingdom. Being young my father and formally Primary ranked grandfather, taught my brother and me the skills to know how to run the same Division. That my family has been running since the beginning of Kingdom Society. Same with Matt he has biological parents but no siblings. Up until Matt's dad adopted Mike as a born tubebaby like the rest of Primaries."

My eyes gaped at what he shared as I said, "I didn't know you had a brother! Or that Matt and Mike are technically brothers. I thought you were all tubebabies."

JJ chuckled amusingly and shared. "No, not myself, Matt, and my younger brother named Leonardo. He's five years younger than me and works mostly in the Highest-ranked hospital. He revives any fallen Immortal men or injuries during a battle."

"So he's not military?" I asked puzzled.

"Oh no, Leonardo is military in my Division and works for me. I have him and other men in my Division that go to the Highest-ranked hospital during a battle. When a battle is happening somebody needs to run the hospital." JJ explained.

But I was confused since I didn't know much about his Division. "What is the job of your Division?"

JJ replied smiling as he started putting the dishes away in the proper place from inside the cabinets. "My Division runs the medical field. Depending on the rank we deliver the infants within our ranks. Being Primary, I and my best Highest-ranked men deliverer infants in the Highest-ranks and Royal family. However, if there is an emergency of any rank military or not, we aid with it too. We medically treat pregnant women and watch them closely. Also, my Division cares for any sick babies, kids, teens, or injuries. My Division fields operate a lot of laboratory science buildings some might call us science nerds. We also handle toxins, poisons, and healing herbs. During battles or attacks, I send in the revive team to collect the injured or fallen Immortal men or anybody else who fell lifeless that was involved with the attack. Our fighting skills are teaching the pressure points to bring down your enemy. Also, we are interrogators so we do interrogations."

"Interrogations?" I stated puzzled like a question. As JJ took a silence while we could continue to clean up the kitchen.

JJ nods when visualizing the dirty deeds that he and the men in Division had done. What's worst we did it without any remorse, he felt. But this didn't nag at his conscience, I'd be lying if he claimed it did. Is what he said to himself. As he thinks back about the three women he was in the middle of interrogating. Before Cory told him to take care of Sally and distract her away, didn't even faze him in the slightest. Which was saying something since JJ knew he had a lot of morals.

I'm not even a player like most of my friends, he inwardly chuckled at that thought. To think his pals Matt and Mike were the worst. JJ could fathom how they could keep up with courting so many women at once. If any of them fell in love, Mike and Matt were quick to break off the courting. Which was so cruel, JJ believed.

But it still wasn't as cruel as what he does during his interrogations. But Sally couldn't know this if it wasn't for Cory's request to care for her. Normally, he'd be the one running the investigation with Cory.

With Sally being in heat and a more fragile site from being recently returned to her former home. JJ understands out of all the Primaries, he was the one best suited to help Sally's wellbeing.

Even the herb tea, she sipped on would benefit her for being in heat. The tea would mend down her emotions, partly caused by her higher body heat. That she'd be feeling on and off since it was triggered by her imprint with Cory. Out of anybody, JJ understood, Sally was likely feeling strange heatwaves when she was interacting with Cory. Without control, even if Cory were to simply look or smile at her. Could set her body temperature to rise a bit higher so that she'd feel toasty. Then by the moon's peak, Cory's arousal will spike high to mate. And she'll go into agonizing pain, so JJ was prepping her to face that by tonight. She was in for a long hall of agony, he worried.

"If we capture a man from another Kingdom. I and the men under my Division get that man to talk. I'm not going to get into details. That's just for us guys to know." JJ eventually spoke after a long duration of quietness.

I could tell from how long he took to answer there was something more in what he does. But maybe it's best not to ask what the details are. And instead, I decided to change the conversation. As he and I finished cleaning the kitchen area we worked in.
