Lookism: Riley's story

Jason Lawrence, a African-American light skinned man with brown eyes and twists that could touch his ear. Jason was 21 years old, 6 ft. 2 in., he was wearing a long cloak that had red clouds which resembled the akatsuki from naruto. Walking around Jason felt the ground shake.

Buildings were being caved in as ravines were created, people were either being crushed in buildings or falling in a ravine. Trying to look for somewhere safe Jason ran around looking for a table to hide in. Jason ran under the table that had Nanatsu no taizai manga and called his mother.

"There is an earthquake occurring at the Anime Expo, I don't think I'll survive", said Jason crying to his mother. On the outside Jason saw a little boy out crying and asking for his mother as cracks were opening in the ground.

"I'm sorry mom I have to hang up", He said as he ran and crashed through the window. Jason's face was cut and scratched. He ran and pulled the kid from the opening but it was too late for him as the ground he stepped on dissapeared.

Jason fell into the pitch black pit and closed his eyes as he met his demise. His body squashed as it touched the ground. In his last minutes he was satisfied because he never really saw himself as a hero. Jason lived as a coward and never really played the role of a leader or helper.

He died with a figurative smile. As he died he found himself in a blank room with a giant emitting light. "I never really saw you as the hero type", the giant said. "Me either, whoever you are", he replied. "After you die you see a giant emitting light and nothing clicks in your head", said the giant.

Jason : "You're god".

God : "And I guess you're not my best fan if this form is not recognizable".

God : " The boy you saved called for help and saved hundreds of other people".

Jason : "How did that kid save everyone when I had to save him".

God : "Same how everyone does, he ran around asking for help and your mom contacted the police".

Jason : "Mom must be so sad right now".

God : "She's actually mourning your death right now, I guess you had a family that cared".

God : "According to the rules I made I have to reincarnate you in a world of your choosing aswell as give you four wishes, which is what you get for the amount of lives you saved, technically, are you feeling lucky".

Jason : "Wow just like in the novels huh, first of all the world is Lookism, I want my family to live a prosperous life while I'm gone, A body like Daniel's second body which is handsome and can fight unconscious which stays in tip top shape no matter what and has my memories, Endorphin manipulation and Photographic reflexes".

God : "You'll have to absorb the soul of another, meaning you'll gain their characteristics and emotions".

Jason : "I know"

God : "Farewell"

God sent him to the world by pushing him in a dimension that blew Jason's mind. Jason saw glass with all of the memories in the life of the body he was taking. In all of the glass Jason found one thing in common which he guessed was him. He saw a boy like in the cover.

Jason's name in this world was Riley Kang, it seemed as if he was mixed race, black and korean. . Jason saw Riley Kang from an infant playing with building blocks all the way to a 15 yr old getting beat up in middle school.

Jason's new body was a 5'8, 16year old light brown skinned boy. His eyes were coal black but it was majestic. Riley woke up on the floor bruised and battered, "This won't do at all", he muttered as he picked himself up and washed his face. There was graffiti all over the wall over the wall which made it very clear that this was a school for delinquents, one that Riley would have to overcome. Riley walked back to his class and as he entered the room a boy with blonde hair smirked making it obvious he was the one that did this to him. Riley smiled back as he thought to himself, 'You won't be smiling for long'.

(Riley POV)

The teacher looked at me, sighed, then got back to work, what could I expect it's not like they were ever in the picture in the webtoon anyway. As soon as school ended the boy with blonde hair approached me with his lackeys behind him. "Come with me!", said the blonde haired boy as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes.

"No!"

"What makes you think you have a choice"

"What makes you think I don't"

"What's with the sudden confidence do you think I won't beat the shit out of you". The class stopped in their tracks staring at them.

I picked up my chair and hit him so hard the chair broke into pieces and before his lackeys could even make a move i punched lackey #1 in the face and slammed lackey #2's head in the wall. I stooped down and took the pack of cigarettes as well as their wallets leaving the class in awe.

(40 mins later No POV)

Riley was at home watching Taekwondo videos while perfectly mimicking their movements and as soon as he felt fatigued he would activate his Endorphins. He repeated the kicks in the same order as his body became drenched in sweat. *knock* *knock* *knock* Riley opened the door and was shocked that it was a man he had completely forgotten about it was his father.

"Why are you in your school clothes, why is there blood on your shirt and why are you drenched in sweat". Riley didn't know if it was the emotions God was talking about but he couldn't help but smile at his father's nagging as he walked to the bathroom.

"I'll change right now"

Riley walked into the shower and took off his clothes and started showering. As he soaped up he felt the muscles of his new body, the flexibility, the freedom it was almost euphoric. Riley washed off then took a selfie as he stepped out the shower and uploaded it to Instagram.

Riley's father changed into a marina an underwear even after making it his poor ways never changed and Riley put on his pajamas and they both sat down to eat dinner 🥘.

"Did you get in a fight today at school"

"Yes"

"Did you win" a smile crept on Riley's face as he asked.

"That's my boy"

"Do you have a high school you want to go to"

"Yes Jae Won High!"
