<Eugene's point of view>
It seems that the groan I heard earlier was from Issei. I sensed it through my magical perception, which allowed me to see someone's magic signature within my reachable radius.
"Hmm... It seems that the awakening of the Boosted Gear has been confirmed. No wonder Rias allowed these intruders to stay here, and also the nurse who approached Issei last time, it's also an opportunity for her to awaken Issei's Sacred Gear, Boosted Gear, to its original form. Playing with Issei's emotions like this, I should never have ignored this matter," I muttered, growing more disappointed with Rias.
She shouldn't toy with that poor boy's emotions. Although we're demons, using conventional methods like this also poses a great risk if Issei were to learn the truth, and it could also become a tragedy because users of Longinus-type Sacred Gears like this often lose control due to unstable emotions.
...
<Third point of view>
Issei felt his world shatter as he witnessed Asia, his kind-hearted new friend, die before him. His eyes were filled with tears of despair and blazing anger. Raynare, the cruel fallen angel who had taken Asia's life, saw Issei's expression and laughed wickedly.
"I knew it, you're just a worthless little brat," Raynare sneered, her voice filled with satisfaction at the cruelty she had inflicted.
Issei glared at her with eyes burning with rage. "You will pay for what you've done," he shouted, his voice trembling.
As he yelled, the power of his Boosted Gear surged. His gauntlet glowed with a burning green light, and his body was surrounded by a deadly red aura. Ddraig, the Red Dragon Emperor within his Sacred Gear, sensed Issei's rage and despair, granting him the power to fight back.
"Now, I'll destroy you!" Issei yelled, his voice echoing in the room.
He leaped towards Raynare with incredible speed. Raynare emitted a deadly light from her hands, trying to block Issei's attack, but Issei managed to evade with his newly awakened skill.
With one powerful punch, Issei slammed Raynare to the ground. He stared at her with eyes full of vengeance. "Do you think you can escape after committing such a crime? I won't let you!"
Issei continued to attack Raynare with astonishing power and speed. Every punch, every kick, and every strike filled the room with incredible energy explosions. Raynare tried to defend herself, but she was clearly overwhelmed by Issei's power and rage.
Finally, with one last deadly blow, Issei managed to defeat Raynare. He knelt beside her fallen body, his breath heavy.
"You... you'll never... win..." Raynare whispered hoarsely.
Issei looked at her coldly. "You're right, even by defeating you, I don't feel like I've won."
With that, Issei retrieved Asia's stolen Sacred Gear from Raynare, in the form of a ring. He felt a bit of peace in his heart, knowing that he had avenged Asia.
Eugene, standing at the door, glanced around the ruined church and found Kiba and Koneko also stunned by what had happened.
It seems they deliberately let Issei handle the final boss and also finish what Raynare had started with the young man.
Issei grabbed the Sacred Gear stolen by Raynare, a ring. He felt a bit of peace in his heart, knowing that he had avenged Asia.
At the end of the ruined church, Eugene stood in front of the door with a relieved expression as everything came to an end, his eyes scanning the destruction inside. Kiba and Koneko, also stunned by what had happened, stood beside him, trying to process the events they had just witnessed.
It seemed they deliberately let Issei finish this fight alone, letting him deal with the final boss and finish what Raynare had started with the young man.
Then, young master Lucifuge, Eugene, muttered with a sharp gleam in his eyes. "Well, time to wrap up this drama."
Eugene stepped forward to end it all, but his collar was pulled by Rias, who had just arrived after resolving all the issues outside. Apparently, the enemy had reinforcements who arrived right after Rias and Akeno defeated the three fallen angel officers.
"Where are you going, Eugene-san?" the red-haired woman asked with a smile on her face, but it was not a happy smile but rather a mix of annoyance and frustration.
"Yo, are you done?" The young master Lucifuge replied only friendly.
Rias and Akeno exchanged glances before sighing tiredly, while Eugene just shrugged with a concerned expression.
...
Then, Rias handled the issue very well. She also got a bonus by resurrecting Asia as her Bishop.
Eugene personally protested against this action. Although Asia had left the Vatican, she was still part of the organization, especially as a former holy maiden who held a high status in the largest supernatural organization.
Meanwhile, for Raynare, who was captured, young master Lucifuge thought carefully before sending them to Grigori. Although there were some problems, the issue was still handled well by them.
However, the moment in the church was also monitored by some unknown individuals inside the dilapidated church because of their negligence. A black dove was lurking, observing Eugene with a glint in its eyes before flying off into the night sky.
...
<Eugene's point of view>
Yes, even though all the issues have been resolved, I feel far from satisfied. There were many violations committed by Rias for the sake of Issei, and it could pose a double-edged sword risk for her.
Even I grew weary of warning her about the consequences of her actions, driven solely by her selfishness.
Now, I sit in the dormitory, gazing at the ceiling of my room wearily after growing bored of reading a book. Suddenly, I feel a heat beneath my neck.
"Ouch!..." When I look, the heat emanates from the necklace given to me by my father. The red crystal shines as I lift it up to my face.
Strange, why is this necklace emitting heat? Wait, this item is radiating magic! All this time, this necklace was a magical item!? No, don't panic. Of course, an heirloom from my father is a magical item, even at the level of an artifact given my father's accomplishments.
Alright, (while emptying my hands with a curious gaze) let's see what's going on with this necklace. I try to find out about this necklace and spend two hours.
Today, Lily will be coming home late so lunch will just be me. But it seems I've missed my lunch again by investigating the phenomenon happening with this heirloom necklace from my father.
Holding the softly glowing crystal between my fingers, I channel my magical energy to see its effects.
"Ooft!" A bright light blinds my eyes, and I let out a startled cry.
When I open my eyes, they widen as I see shelves upon shelves of books neatly arranged in a large room. 'Uuuoh!? Where am I!?' I think, slightly panicked by the sudden change.
