Life Blooms Like A Flower

A loud bang on the door of her room woke Alexa up from her sleep. She was so shocked that she immediately jumped off the rickety bed and hurriedly opened the door. Behind the door, she saw a fat middle-aged woman staring at her with a furious look. Without warning, the fat middle-aged woman snapped, "Get all your belongings and don't leave a single one! Then make sure you don't ever appear in front of me again."

As a person who just woke up, Alexa was confused and had difficulty understanding what was going on. She was ordered to clean up all her belongings and kicked out of here. So is she fired?

Even so, Alexa complied and start to put all her clothes in the bag, including only a few make-up equipments. She didn't even bother putting make-up on her face when she came out of the room. She will not serve the customers tonight after all.

The 18-year-old girl walked past several prostitutes who looked down at her. The strong scent of perfume filled the room, a place which, ironically, had accustomed her.

There are so many questions in her head. Alexa remembers very well that she was sold by her aunt to a brothel one month ago because of debt. The fat middle-aged woman, Ruth, said Alexa had to works by selling herself to pay all the debt. Alexa suddenly had to pay a debt of nearly five hundred thousand pounds because of her aunt. If she calculates with her income as a prostitute, Alexa is even sure that the debt will never be paid off for decades.

But just now Ruth said that Alexa will be kicked out of the brothel. What the hell happened when she suddenly fired from her job when Mrs Ruth kept reminding her every day to work hard to pay off the debts?

At the front door of the brothel, Alexa sees several people there, as if they are swarming around because something is interesting. Before the girl approached the door, Mrs Ruth had turned around and noticed her presence. Immediately, Mrs Ruth grabbed her hand roughly and dragged her to the door.

The confused Alexa can not resist her. However, as soon as she arrived at the door, she saw a man who had become her nightmare these one month. The girl quickly turned to Mrs Ruth then called out to her, "Mrs Ruth?" try to ask for an explanation.

"This is why I despise lucky people like you. Hurry and go and don't ever come back here. You're fired," said the fat woman which explained nothing at all.

But her brown eyes widened after hearing if she was 'fired'.

What does she mean by 'fired'? Does that mean she no longer needs to work by sleep with strangers in exchange for money and let them treat her whatever they want? Alexa was happy, of course, that she had finally been released from this nasty job.

But why?

But one thing that she still doesn't know: where should she stay after this? Alexa has no money. During this one month, Mrs Ruth confiscated all of her income as routine deposits. Is she turned into a homeless man now?

Soon, the man in front of her walked over. Alexa hurriedly lowered her head and avoided his gaze. From her position, she could hear jeers from other wench who trying to seduce that man so he will pay them in exchange for one night of sex. Until Alexa could feel that the man already standing in front of her.

What does he want?

Alexa dared to look up and look at him in the eye. "Sorry, sir, but from today onwards I am no longer work here. You cannot book me."

She nodded, intending to leave that nasty house while thinking about what she would do after this. She has no money, no place to live. The only place left for her was under bridges or in front of the closed shop, or anywhere outdoor. Is there no other choice but to be homeless?

Before Alexa walks away, the man in front of her interrupted and grabbed her wrist, "Madame Ruth over there doesn't explain anything to you, Mischa?"

Mischa is her name as a sex worker there. Since the day Alexa was sold to this place, she doesn't live with 'Alexa' as her name anymore. It was Ruth who told her to use another name, discarded her real name.

Then Alexa turns her head again and looks at him with a confused stare. Maybe because that man realized that Mischa still doesn't understand what happened, he added, "You are no longer work for her. From now on you work for me."

That statement doesn't explain anything. What's the meaning that from now on Alexa works for that guy? "If you understand, get in the car." He added.

No. Alexa didn't understand what he meant at all. No one bothered explaining the situation to her. Mrs Ruth just said she was fired, then the man in front of her said that now Alexa is working for him. Does that mean he just bought her? Really?

She couldn't help but feel happy. That means Alexa no longer needs to sleep with a stranger every night. She also doesn't need to be live as a beggar because she has a new job, although Alexa still does not know what job she will do after this.

Amid the hustle and bustle of the night activities, she could hear the voice of another wench not far from her. The woman named Edelyn walked over and brushed her hand which was still gripped by the man. As if unhappy with Alexa's presence, Edelyn moved her elbow until it hit the side of Alexa's face, making her almost fall. Then her feet who were wearing high heels 'accidentally' stepped on Alexa's feet until she groaned in pain.

"You know, instead of buying that useless brat, how about me? I can satiate you better than the useless kid over there, hm?" Her voice sounds seductive and she talks at the only pretentious man there—how could it not be pretentious if he'd come here dressed up with his suit and his silver Lamborghini parked out in front of the brothel?

Alexa was still rubbing her trampled feet, then she heard the man said in a sharp tone, "Shut up, bitch, I'm not talking to you."

That's so harsh. Meanwhile, Alexa just swallowed hard while imagining what her life would be like after this. But Alexa didn't have time to think, because Mrs Ruth had already walked over to them without realizing it. The fat woman grabbed her bag, opened the car door, then threw the bag inside. Her hand pushing Alexa inside violently. A crash sound can be heard. Alexa's head hit hard on the side of the car door because Mrs Ruth pushed her roughly.

Inside the car, Alexa rubs her head. Outside, Mrs Ruth pushed the man's shoulder and shouted, "Look here, bastard. She's yours already. Now get out of here and don't come back! You're ruining my business!"

The man clicked his tongue. He hates seeing his 'stuff' being treated harshly. Also, this incident caused a scene. He didn't want more people to come here and trouble him. So the man turned around and got into his car.

"It was a pleasure doing business with you, madame," he sneered.

After getting into the car, he did not have time to look after Mischa who was cowering in fear and was probably trembling. He turns on the car engine and step on the gas pedal, rode his car out of there immediately. After a while, he let out a sigh of relief.

The car stopped at a traffic light. Meanwhile, the man turned his head and saw the tiny figure next to him. "Are you alright? Are you hurt? Let me see." His voice sounded more relaxed than before, although it still didn't sound friendly at all.

Alexa flinched after heard him spoke. She moves closer to the side. While examined, she replied softly, "It's okay. Maybe just a lump." Although her head ached and felt a little dizzy, at least Alexa was lucky because it didn't tear and bleed.

"Did you hear what I said earlier? From now on you work for me, Mischa. No, I know your name is not Mischa. What's your name?" He didn't have much time to explain everything in a short amount of time because the traffic light had turned green, so he had to focus on the road ahead.

The atmosphere in the car was quite cold for a moment. The sound of the car engine is not too vivid. Meanwhile, the noisy road outside can't be heard from inside the car.

"Alexa. My name is Alexa…"
