--- Graycastle, Greengarden's common area ---
The moment Jay and princess Auriel returned to the castle, they suddenly heard Queen Auburn shouting out Lydia and Philson's judgement.
"As the queen of Wildergreene, I will now hereby declare that both of you are exiled from this city. I will let you say goodbye to your friends and families for this day. But if you are spotted within this city's walls tomorrow and in the future days to come, you will be executed on sight. Guards, send them out."
But just as some of the guards were about to lead Lydia and Philson out of the castle...
"No! You cannot do this to me my queen! I have always been a faithful and loyal servant of this kingdom! I only got dragged into this mess because of her! Please my queen, don't do this to me!"
Philson begged as he did not even stand up and started kowtowing.
"Your pleas are useless. Don't you remember why I removed you from the army? Or should I let you remember clearly your most heinous crime to this kingdom?" Queen Auburn said in a displeased and mocking tone. After Philson heard this, he immediately went silent but tears from his eyes came out as he cried.
As for Lydia, she did not even give a crap about all of this and thought, "Who wants to stay in this s**thole of yours anyways? My mountain back at the Northern Continent is better than this crap."
...
Jay and Princess Auriel knew that the queen's mind won't change no matter how much they asked her.
"Well, I guess that is better than execution. Princess, remember the thing about the guild emblems. I will wait for those two here and see them off." Jay said while thinking "I should investigate more about the situation with the royalty and the nobles after my other affairs. I feel like something changed again in history this time."
After hearing Jay speak, princess Auriel nodded her head and left. Just a few seconds after the princess left, Jay saw Lydia and Philson being led out of the castle by two knights wearing the Wildergreene soldier uniform, a shiny steel armor set with the symbol of Wildergreene painted on it.
"Hey guys! Over here!"
Jay waved at the group and called them over.
"Jay? He is still here?" Lydia and Philson had the same thought as the guards continued leading them outside the castle.
...
After both of them were led out of the castle, Jay hurried over to them and started speaking while they walked around the city.
"Lydia, let me just confirm something. You're still part of my guild right?"
Jay asked since he was not sure what Lydia was thinking and she might fly back to her home.
"Of course. But I am afraid I won't be seeing you and everyone else for a while. I am having some thoughts of returning to my home tomorrow. So... goodbye for now I guess?" Lydia said while having a few doubts if she should do as she said or explore for a bit somewhere else.
"I see. Can I ask a favor from you then?"
Lydia was a bit surprised when Jay said this and got interested in what he has to say. So she agreed to do this favor Jay was asking.
"Thanks. The thing I am asking for is simple. Tomorrow morning, I will ask some people from the guild to go with you to a place called the Nix River. It is just a few miles from Wildergreene. Just carry everyone and fly until you reach Wildergreene's eastern border. There, you will see a long winding river that stretches out hundreds and thousands of miles. So, are you up to the task?"
Jay knew that the construction of the guild hall was already a bit overdue to his planned time since the time he planned and allotted for the guild hall construction was a week after their journey to Greengarden. But due to certain events in the past three days, Jay was not sure if it was still possible to complete the guild hall's construction within this week.
"Let me get this straight. I will only drop everyone off to this place right? After that, I am free to explore... I mean go home?" Lydia asked while thinking "Guild Hall construction? I wonder if Jay can provide me with a second home after he builds this guild hall."
...
Seeing that Jay and Lydia were talking about an important matter, Philson tried to excuse himself and leave. Just as he was about to do so, Jay put his arm around him and said, "Where are you going friend? I believe you still have a story to tell me. Besides, if you do not have a place to stay after this, you are more than welcome to stay in our guild hall after we finish the construction part. (No way I am letting a powerhouse NPC like you out of my grasp. Hahaha!!!)"
Philson got surprised with Jay's offer and thought to himself, "At first, he gave me money that can let me feed myself and my family for a long period of time. And now, he is even offering me a home, Why?" He was really grateful with this but was a bit ashamed that he did not even put up his own effort to make all of this good things happen to him.
He knew Jay was waiting for his response so he said, "Oh, the story about myself, right. As for your offer, I need to talk with my family about this first."
After Philson said that, Jay nodded his head and started speaking again.
"I see. Then, why don't you settle all of your family business first. Just meet me outside the city tomorrow morning. By then, if you decide to join my guild, you can also join the trip towards the Nix Riven and help in constructing your new home, the guild hall. What do you think?"
After hearing Jay's suggestions, Lydia and Philson nodded their heads and after saying goodbye to each other, they went on their separate ways.
...
"Alright. Now that's done, I should wait for those guild emblems before returning back to the floating island. As for the ones in charge of the construction, I should probably let Roasted Boar and Heda take charge of it. I should also try and ask for resources from Lord Tygon, who knows if I might get lucky again." Jay thought in his mind as he walked back to the tournament area near the city's gates since he still had to win the tournament unless he wants to stay in prison for a week which is time consuming.
