It was you who nearly killed me!

Kira's heart is palpitating abnormally. It was the first time she felt this kind of romantic excitement in her whole eighteen years here on earth. With Herro's magical Kiss, Kira's injury had lightened and she had now the energy to walk and move around.

Herro felt slightly exhausted even though his stats had increased healing Kira with his own vitality is giving his body a lot of stress.

Kira was just looking down because she was really embarrassed. Although she kissed Herro before, her mind was occupied with her problem and it was her decision.

The kiss Herro had gave her was an unexpected one, then she remembered the time when Herro healed Kira, when he transferred the effect when he absorbed the Mutant that nearly killed her.

"H-hey Herro..." Kira called out to Herro who was sweating profusely from exhaustion. Herro looked at Kira with his brow raised. It was a facial expression that asked a person, "What?"

Kira was still embarrassed, and causing her to ask Herro in a sheepishly manner while stuttering, "Uhhhmm... D-did you kiss me back then? W-when you healed me?"

Herro smiled at her and he said, "Nope. I used my palm in transferring the effect from my body towards you. If you're asking me why I kissed you to transfer the effect, I just wanted to take a revenge, since you kissed me too. I do not let grudges pass me by. Blood for blood, tooth for a tooth, and kiss for a kiss." after saying those things, Herro let out a soft chuckle.

WHen Kira heard what Herro said, the embarrassment she felt was now added with anger. She walked towards Herro and hit Herro's chest.

Unlike before, when they first met, Herro didn't flew back or suffered from any life threatening injuries, but instead he was just standing there while letting out soft chukcles form his mouth.

Kira noticed this, but she understands why. Herro already absorbed three mutants and acquired their strength and this means Herro was stronger than Kira.

Herro chuckled and then caught Kira's hands and said, "If you wanna take revenge, you can kiss me, but save that for later because we need to deal with your parents who's coming here." Then Herro started walking outside while pulling Kira's hands.

The feeling of embarrassment and anger suddenly vanished in Kira's heard and her face was now filled with seriousness.

Herro felt the ground tremor along with the heavy steps coming from the direction where they came from. When he and the Mutants battled, he made sure to attack the Mutants tendon to limit their speed.

Herro smiled after reading his stats. Almost all of his stats had increased for a few folds. He was elated to learn that his strength was now sufficient to survive in this post- apocalyptic world without solely relying on Kira.

He was also happy that he could develop a skill after repeating his spiral actions. His steel claws had also increased in level. From Level one, it suddenly leapt to level three after absorbing three Mutants. The claws' durability and sharpness had also increased, allowing him to easily chop a metal like a tofu.

Then he waved his hand in front of him to remove the blue panel obstructing his sight. The mutants had already caught the Aromatic scent that Kira had been exuding from her body.

Herro is sure that by this time, the Mutant's ultimate desire for Kira had already activated. It's either their filial affection or just their desire to make her their meal.

Kira was nervously standing there while her hands were shaking. Herro knew this because he was holding her other hand. He tightened the grip and looked at Kira and said, "Don't worry. If something happens, I'll protect you."

Kira looked at Herro and nodded. Although her hands were still shaking, the frequency was slower than before.

It didn't take long for the Mutants to reach where Kira and Herro is. They were standing from a distance, staring at both Kira and Herro. Then they glanced at each other and nodded.

Herro felt something weird about them. Their actions are somewhat inappropriate for a Mutant who was only controlled by their survival instinct.

M1 and M3 started running towards Kira and Herro. Herro let Kria's hand go and then activated his claws. His fingers, hand changed into a few inches long, sharp steel blades.

He entered his battle stance, so if a battle may break out any moment from now, he will be able to protect Kira or escape with her. Kira was also shaking in fear and also from how miserable her parents are.

As the Mutants grew nearer, Herro had noticed the locket that was stuck in their chest when their body transformed. With his enhanced vision, he could saw the clear picture of a beautiful white girl inside the locket even he was a few meters away.

He knew that the picture of a girl in the locket was Kira. The shape of her ears, the color of her hair, and also the color of her eyes are totally identical with Kira, who is standing by his side.

It was as if a long time had passed, but the Mutants' actions and Herro only took a few seconds.

The Mutants stopped when they're just five meters away from Kira and Herro. Herr's back was now soaked with cold sweat. He was unsure if Kira's plan worked or not. If it worked, then everything would be fine. But if not, it will be hard fighting two Mutant's while protecting Kira.

Kira was a lot more nervous than Herro. Her parents were just standing in front of her. Even though they had already lost their rationality and their body were already unrecognizable, they are still the parents who sacrificed everything for her.

Tears fell from Kira's eyes. She opened her mouth and started to call out for her parents. "M-mom, D-dad, do you still recognize me? I am K-kira, your daughter."

The Mutants Kira had called her parents were just standing there. Then they started to walk towards Herro and Kira.

Herro immediately hid Kira on his back and he prepared himself to attack anytime soon. The Mutants' saw his action. M1, the one who lost its right eye, opened its mouth.

Herro was so anxious and asked Kira to cover her ears. Herro knew what their tactic was. One will distract them by roaring so loud and the other one will attack. But the frequency of their roar will not be able to affect Herro anymore because he was stronger than the average Mutant.

"We won't have to worry if you are the one who will be protecting our daughter, right Babe?"

Herro and Kira's eyes opened widely, as if they're coming out of their sockets. Then, Kira laughed while tears flowed out of her eyes non-stop. She ran towards M1 and hugged it and she said, "You surely jest, Dad. I am the one who's been protecting him until now." M3, who is her mom, also hugged Her husband and her daughter.

By now, Herro understood their current situation: Kira's plan is a success! He was really happy that the family was able to reunite and talk after two years.

Then M3 opened her mouth and said, "But since he is now stronger than you, we will be able to rest peacefully knowing that there is someone willing to risk his life for you. Is he your boyfriend? OMG babe! Our daughter has finally been able to find a boyfriend!"

"He's not my boyfriend, Mom! He... He... he is just someone..." Kira couldn't find a word to describe is Herro's role in her life.
