I finally became a Shogun

A cold breeze passed through the window and hit Herro's lifeless face. He really regretted acting strong and capable, even though he is not. He planned to tag along with Kira and find some chance to absorb zombies. Based on Herro's observation, Kira had stayed here for a long time, so she already memorized the place, and if not, she familiarized it at the least.

But he never expected that she would shove him away as if he was just large, unnecessary luggage.

Because of his sh*tty tongue, he was forced to take a dangerous mission of gathering food.

He stopped his self-blaming drama and then picked up the backpack that Kira left for him to use on his food scavenging mission.

Then he exited the room through the window because the door was barricaded. Maybe zombies swarmed the other side.

He cautiously checked his surroundings if zombies are there or not. But he didn't find a group of them, only scattered ones.

After ensuring a safe route, he started heading south. Originally, he didn't know where south and north is, but he saw where Kira is going, and he just headed to the opposite side.

He totally forgot his main reason for going out and engrossed himself in grinding zombies in a chance of gaining points, but not too far from his position. He found something.

He was still far from it, but he saw a vine that already covered a small house. Then, he realized that he was already in a subdivision because the buildings there are relatively small compared to those gargantuan buildings, and the designs are totally different.

He approached the house, where the vines have crawled. As he approached the house, he felt some eerie sensation—he felt the hair on his body had stood up. He then scanned the surroundings if zombies are wandering around. He found some, but it was far away from him, and he will be able to kill them even if they rushed to him at the same time. Then he continued his approach to the house, and when he was two hundred meters away from it, he identified the fruit hanging in the vines as grapes.

This was not like the typical grapes the earth where he came from had. He can determine that it was at least thrice as big and concluded that this was Salvanium's effect.

The house where the vine climbed is a 2-story-house. Well, considering the gargantuan buildings around, you can consider it as a small house. It has a fancy gate, but it was filled with rust because of the grass vines that also climbed it. Herro opened it without much difficulty.

Herro was fascinated when he was finally near the grapes. It was as big as an apple from the earth where he came from.

Then a thought entered his head. "If the grapes are these large, then apples may be as large as a coconut now?

He then started plucking grapes, and he did it until he filled the bag. He didn't even dare to taste it since the grapes may be poisoned or inedible because of the evolution. He planned on letting Kira check if the grapes are edible or not.

After filling his bag with the grapes he plucked, he took a glance at the house, and an idea came to his head.

"This steel pipe is indeed useful to me as a weapon, but I think having a knife is not bad."

Then he grinned and walked to the house's door. Opening it did not give him any difficulty because the last who entered the house did not lock it. "The owners must have rushed to evacuate that they forgot locking it. Well, if I am in their situation, I may even leave behind my things and save my life," he thought.

He entered the house and saw that it was messy. "The owners may be rushed to pack their things, or scavengers already scavenged this house." He thought.

Back on his life on earth, aside from being an avid biker, he was a total bookworm and an otaku. He played games, read novels and comics, watched animes about a post-apocalyptic world, and scavengers were common in a post-apocalyptic world.

The house design was not that different from where he came from. Although he did not found tv or some main components of a house, it was not that different from his world.

He thought that maybe their tv was upgraded to holographic or hologram since this world is already a thousand years after his era.

It didn't take him too long to find where the kitchen is. Then he found it a lot cleaner than the living room, although it was filled with dust, the utensils and equipment there are fixed.

Then he immediately found the knife that was placed in the hanging cabinet above the sink.

He pulled one that was used to cut meat. It was sharp, and it was what he needed. Although the steel pipe is more efficient in killing zombies, he needed the knife to cut things like vines and ropes.

After getting what he needed, he was in no rush to leave the house, and he walked towards the stairs that were heading to the second floor.

The second floor was more spacious, and he saw glass containers containing Japanese-styled armors or shogun armors, and he also found katanas. His eyes gleamed in excitement, and he immediately rushed to the glass container.

When he saw the Katanas and Shogun armors, he was now convinced that he was thrown into the future instead of transmigrating.

He saw the button to open it, but it failed due to a lack of electricity. Then he found a fire extinguisher and used it to smash the glass.

The glass broke easily because it was normal glass and not some bulletproof one.

Then he grabbed the katana, and he was happy to know that it was lightweight. He unsheathed it and started swinging it. It was not long—it was around 70cm, and since the room was spacious, he could swing it around.

The excitement grew in his heart as he swung his newly acquired weapon. Then he sheathed back the katana and strapped the belt on his waist. He then thanked the owner of the house for letting him achieve his dreams.

He loved Japanese history, and he found Shoguns and samurai cool. So he wanted to be one or at least learn how to use a katana. Even though that change didn't come in his past world, at least now in his new life, it happens.

After checking the katana, he then walked towards the armor. It was color red, and it was the same height as him. The first part he picked up was the helmet. It was so light, and when he wore it on his head, it was really light that he didn't get burdened by it. The size also suits him as if it was customed just for him.

He also tried the rest of the armor, and it suits his size, and he found it easy to move because it is lightweight.

He also grabbed the other two katanas displayed and the sharping stone so he can keep the swords sharp every time he goes out.

He felt really excited and happy at the same time. Everything feels fine until a blue notification panel appeared in front of his face.

"Requirements for Activating Ultimate Scented Body has been fulfilled"

"Now activating in 3, 2, 1."

His body again released the aromatic scent without his consent, and after a few seconds, he could already feel the tremors on the ground.
