"So you wanted to test me and see if the rumours were true then?" Lady Syria asked as her voice started to even out and sound a little more powerful. "No that isn't it ether." He said as he stopped stroking her head. "Then why?" Lady Syria asked desperately. It was hurting, something deep within Calder was hurting so bad that he didn't know how to explain it.
"I don't know myself!" Calder shouted. His body started to shake. He couldn't bare to release her from his arms but he knew he had to let her go. Suddenly a small voice inside his head urged him to hold on to her for just a bit longer. "I just, I really don't know. I can't explain it. Everytime I see you I just... I just... ugh! Last time! I swear this is the last time I do anything to you without your consent." He whispered as his heart thundered against his chest. "I swear the very last time." He continued pitifully as he finally let her go.
"So you can't tell me?" Lady Syria said calmly as she grabbed Calder's double breasted vest and pulled him in closer, her chest barely touched his body but his face blushed all the same. Lady Syria was stunned for a moment then a wicked smile spread across her face. "Oh?" She said as she pressed herself more against him.
"Have you lost all that courage? All that bravado? Are you really all words and nothing else? Pathetic. It's because of men like you that women like me are constantly harassed." She said as she glared at Calder. "I'm," Calder started to say but Lady Syria wasn't letting him have his way. "Save it." She hissed then she elegantly stood on the tips of her toes. Giving her the extra height she needed so she could place her lips next to his ear.
She let out a small, warm breath and felt Calder shutter. "Calder." She whispered slowly and sensually. Calder swallowed hard, he knew he could no longer control his lower half so with every sane fiber in his body he willed his hands to not move. "Because of what you did today you will not breath a single word of my visit to the infirmary to anyone, not my handmaid, not his Majesty or your own servants." She said in a hushed voice as she lowered herself back down and released her hold on him. Instead she laid her hands flat on his broad chest.
"I won't." Calder said as his breathing became erratic. "Oh no Calder, there's more." Lady Syria said seductively. Calder's mouth had gone dry, his lower region was started to slowly take control of the rest of his body. Lady Syria smiled as she slid her right hand upwards and brushed her fingertips over Calder's shoulder. She opened her mouth slowly.
"Your highness." She whispered as her warm, sweet breath intoxicated him. Her fingertips gingerly brushed down is bulging tricep. "Calder, please." Calder said softly as he slightly furrowed his brows. He didn't like Lady Syria calling him 'your highness' again. There was no way he could go back, he was spoiled and wanted her to say his name more.
"Your highness." She said in a lower, silkier voice. "You are to... NEVER touch me again!" She hissed as she pinched Calder's under arm with her nails. Calder's guard was down, he wasn't expecting an attack so the pain was unbearable. Tears collected in his eyes as he slightly doubled over. Lady Syria let go of Calder and watched as he rubbed his tender underarm.
"Thank you for escorting me back but I don't think I need you to take me the rest of the way." Lady Syria hissed before she walked around Calder and stormed back to her room. Calder looked back and wondered what possessed him to think such a woman was captivating, even for a second.
Calder stood up quickly and marched back to his office in a bad mood. When he finally made it to his office he threw open the door and looked inside. Landis and Rutley were happily sipping tea on a sofa but gawked when they saw Calder come in. "So how did your walk go?" Landis asked as he smiled sweetly. "She's insane." Calder spat as he charged to his desk, his eyes were blazing murderously as a scowl showed off his dangerous looking canines. Rutley stood up and quickly poured him a cup of tea.
Calder looked at the cup of tea and stared. "Black? No sugar, no milk and naturally sweet?" He asked as he turned his gaze to Rutley, his index finger couldn't stay still and it was taping his desk at an alarming rate. "Cherry blossom tea, your favourite." Rutley reported. Calder sighed as he looked at Rutley. His nose was set in a small splint while a far amount of gaze protected it. Rutley's eyes were also bruised making him look like a bandit.
Calder looked away, the guilt was starting to eat at him from the inside. He brought up his hands and messaged his temples. "Thank you." He said graciously. He knew he should take his anger out on Rutley or Landis. What had happened was his own fault and he needed to deal with it. He needed to calm down.
Rutley was concerned as Calder fury started to fizzle out. He looked at Landis for help but Landis was busy watching the show. Rutley had no choice but to use his secret weapon. "Please." His eyes pleaded as they sparkled with hope and admiration. Landis sighed as he placed his tea cup on the coffee table. "Calder how did that young lady get hurt?" Landis asked.
Calder froze, he instantly broke out in a cold sweat. "Not sure." He said as he grabbed his tea cup and sipped enthusiastically. Rutley's gaze changed as he gave Landis a disdainful look. "Your highness." Rutley started to say as he turned his gaze back to Calder but Calder slammed his tea cup against his desk. Thankfully he drank all the tea in one go but the cup shattered everywhere. "WHEN IT'S JUST US PLEASE CALL ME BY MY NAME." Calder growled through clenched teeth.
