摘要

Leveling System is a gift that some people get. Having it meant being able to have the power that was the result of hunting monsters in the Dungeon, becoming a Hunter. Oliver didn't have the System, making him just live as a human. This wasn't a problem for most people, but when a human had problems with the Hunters, life would become difficult. However, when he despaired of the Leveling System that he couldn't get, he obtained a ring with a space inside, containing ancient books that turned out to be cultivation methods and skills. He couldn't hunt monsters to level up, but he could increase his strength by meditating. The Hunters, they were no match for him.

Chapter 1A Ring

"Bastard, if you know what's good, stay away from Alice, she's not for weaklings like you!" A fat youth stepped his foot into the face of a white-haired youth with a thin body.

He seemed weak from the start. When his face was stepped on, his lower body was lifted up.

Even screaming became difficult for him.

His eyes could only stare blankly at the fat man because he was completely helpless.

He was accompanied by several other men who were already beating him.

Fighting them was absolutely impossible for him, especially since they were the Hunters, the chosen humans who got the Leveling System so that they could gain power by killing monsters in the Dungeon.

An ordinary human like him shouldn't get any attention from them, but because of a woman in their school, he got into this kind of trouble.

That woman, Alice was the most beautiful woman in the school, as well as an outstanding Hunter.

Who knew how her brain worked. She seemed to like him, kept giving him attention all the way to giving him chocolates on Valentine's Day so that people would finally know that she had special feelings for him.

The result is that he is making enemies everywhere.

The men who beat him up now were just henchmen of someone who really liked Alice.

"Hey, what are you guys doing?" Two Hunter Police came into the narrow alley, then ran towards the fat man and the others.

They had probably just gotten information from someone passing by that there was a group of Hunters oppressing ordinary humans.

Seeing them, the fat man, Alex, waved his hand to his friends, signaling them to leave.

They then ran towards the other side of the alley.

The two policemen didn't continue chasing them because they saw Oliver's bad condition.

"We need to get him to the hospital as soon as possible," one of them said.

Oliver no longer knew what happened after that because he passed out, no longer able to maintain his consciousness.

He woke up before long, finding a white ceiling with a white hose connected to his wrist.

Looking to the side, he found a window that was displaying a sky full of stars.

It was already night.

When he looked at the wall clock, he found that the date was still the same, which meant he had only passed out from day to night.

Of course, there was no one in the room but him.

He had no family left, and no familiar friends. Who would probably visit him.

Phew!

He sighed as he wondered who had changed his clothes since he was now wearing patient clothes.

In this state, his head fantasized about having a Leveling System.

Unfortunately, that was the only thing that could change his fate now.

Some people might be able to have a good career if they had an elite job, but he was average in every subject.

Although he was quite handsome as a man, which was why even Alice liked him, but he did not have the skills or confidence to become a celebrity.

Plus, his heart also wanted to be a Hunter who could fight in the Dungeon.

Wanting to feel the night air, he opened the window beside him.

Whoosh!

The wind blew in, instantly making him feel more comfortable.

"Ehhh..." He was dumbfounded shortly after opening the window as he saw a small shining object fall from above.

Perhaps because it was blown by the wind, it moved irregularly.

Surprisingly it was approaching his window.

He pointed his hand out the window in a quick motion as it arrived in front of that window.

This seemed to be something out of the ordinary. His instincts instantly told him to get it.

The good thing was, he managed to grab it.

In a hurry, he pulled his hand back to look at the object.

As it turned out, it was a silver ring.

To his surprise, the light from the ring became large, shining on his face.

It wasn't like seeing light in general. He felt like there was a strange sensation that could not be explained.

The light then disappeared, and even the ring no longer shone.

However, the surprise on Oliver's face became even greater.

This was because he had a clear feeling that he was connected to the ring.

It was as if it was his own limb.

When he focused on that feeling, he realized it was like there was a space inside the ring.

He wasn't sure what that space was either, it just felt very clear.

His brain thought about looking into that space because it was as if there was a whisper asking him to do that.

"What?" He was then dumbfounded as he actually saw the space inside the ring.

It was like an airless space. Everything inside was frozen.

Inside the space, he saw stacks of old books with yellow and black colored paper.

The cover of each of those books had a picture. Each of them was a different picture.

Oliver saw a picture of a mountain descending from the sky to the earth. There was also a picture of a ring of light encircling a human body until the body was crushed. There was even a picture of a fist destroying the sky.

He immediately had the thought to take the book with the picture of the fist.

As it turned out, right after that, the book appeared in his hand, moving from the space inside the ring.

His eyes shone brightly as he looked at this supposedly impossible thing.

The book was not that thick, of course. It probably only consisted of 10 sheets of paper.

He opened it quickly, finding other pictures with descriptions around them.

The language turned out to be the same as this world's language as well.

Sky Breaking Fist, an unparalleled cultivation skill, Immortal Level. That was the initial description written in the book.

"Cultivation, is this real?" Oliver wondered as the word cultivation was familiar to him who sometimes read novels.

It was one of the genres that was popular in the past but became less popular since Leveling System appeared, causing only the Leveling Leveling genre to be popular.

Oliver then searched for other books through his drawings.

The book in his hand was a skill, not a method.

According to his guess he couldn't learn skills without having cultivation first, and to have cultivation required the method.

At this point, he had no doubts because of the magic of the ring that could possibly be called a storage ring.

When searching for cultivation methods, he didn't have much trouble because there were some books with pictures of human bodies that seemed to be absorbing energy.

He was sure they were books that recorded cultivation methods.

Moreover, they actually had titles.

Yin Yang, Six Paths, Heaven Emperor, True Dragon Body, and others.

Oliver picked up two books at once, Heaven Emperor and True Dragon Body. The former had the cover of a man sitting above the sky while the latter had the cover of a green dragon with a pair of large wings.

He opened the former first where the first description was a statement that it was an Immortal Level cultivation method.

It's Immortal Level again. Since the word Immortal often described the highest realm, Oliver suspected that the cultivation method was already the best.

Underneath, there was another description, which consisted of a combination of words and images.

The essence of cultivation is to absorb spiritual energy into the body. In the early stages, you need to use the spiritual energy you absorb to open the 10 Gates of Life. They are the entrances that lead to your Inner World.

When successful, you officially become a cultivator, being at the starting point called the First Stage of Spiritual Being.

This Cultivation Method called Heaven Emperor is naturally unique.

When a cultivator becomes a cultivator with that method, he will have an advantage in terms of energy.

The sky will become his support whether it is the day sky or the night sky.

Every time he used his spiritual energy, he would be helped by the heavens to replenish his energy so that he could return to his prime in no time.

This can eventually lead to him fighting continuously.

"Will this work?" Oliver wondered.

He had no trouble understanding the method described by the book.

The question now was if he did what the book said, would he really feel the presence of spiritual energy and be able to absorb it into his body?

This was a question he could not answer until he did what the method said.

He then sat cross-legged, placing each of his hands on the tips of his thighs before closing his eyes.

Of course, such a position did nothing. There were still many things he needed to do, such as controlling certain points on his body to do things and controlling his mind to be as if he was immersed in nature.

These were all not easy, but perhaps easier for a quiet man like him since his mind was usually well controlled.

He did it all slowly, then patiently waited for the miracle.

To his surprise as he managed to follow the book's instructions perfectly, he suddenly felt like he was surrounded by water. It was a feeling similar to when he submerged himself in water.

The difference was that the things surrounding him were much softer, and even made him more comfortable as he breathed, unlike the water which practically made him unable to breathe.

'Is this spiritual energy?' He wondered in amazement because that was how spiritual energy was described.

Before this he had been somewhat skeptical that there was spiritual energy on earth, but it seemed that it really existed, not even a little.

Since he had already sensed it, he was able to absorb it into his body.

Perhaps breaking through to the initial stage was the easiest part as he only needed to use the spiritual energy he absorbed to open the 10 Gates of Life within his body.

This is said to be easy as the 10 Gates of Life are not difficult to open. What was more difficult were the subsequent things such as expanding the Inner World.

Oliver immediately focused on absorbing more spiritual energy and opening his 10 Gates of Life.

He was very excited while doing so because of his desire for power.

In today's era, there is no one who does not want this wonderful thing.

Time seemed to slow down for him as his mind was completely immersed in cultivation.

It reached a point where he started to not feel anything anymore, as if he didn't have a body, only had a mind.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

There was a sudden crack sound up to ten times from within his body, clearly audible to his ears.

Right after that, he saw a dark yet clear space to his eyes. Its size was like the space inside a basketball, small but also giving the impression of infinity.

The space was definitely not in front of him as his eyes were closed, making it impossible for him to see the space.

At this moment, something similar to liquid but also similar to sky-blue light entered the space through the ten holes surrounding it.

"Mm!" Oliver's eyes opened spontaneously.

He showed a shock that he had never shown.

The changes in his body felt very obvious to him. Even as he looked at the wall of his room, he instantly thought that a single kick from him could punch a hole through it.

The thought was clear and not nonsense as he did feel the power in his body.

"Did I really become a cultivator?" He couldn't help but wonder even though it was obvious.

This was indeed too shocking to be believed.

Of course, it couldn't be denied because now he actually felt the Inner World inside his body with the energy inside. And he could release that energy.

When he did so, a sky-blue light faintly emanated from his body.

This made him no longer able to be unsure of this amazing reality.

His heart was beating hard because he was too excited.

And as it turned out, it was already morning.

He found that from the east the sun was rising.

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a tone that was somewhere between annoyance and disappointment. "You can’t outsmart Scrients! They’re the most intelligent beings across the two realms!" "You’re right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a solemn sigh. "I made a mistake. I was arrogant to think a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "...Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I’m not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait! You can’t. I killed them all." --- My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid and pointless scuffle. And in the middle of it, I tripped and smacked my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in… Memories of a different life. Memories of another world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First: I was inside a game I used to play in my past life. Second: I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool, mysterious, tragic kind either! No, I was the worst kind of cliché — a spoiled, insufferable, and arrogant young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. You know the type! The one everyone hates. The one the hero would beat into the ground to show everyone just how strong and righteous he is. Yeah. I was that guy! My fate was to be a stepping stone for the main characters, be manipulated by a Demon Prince, and die a dog's death. And the hero? The hero was the same kid I’d been bullying all this time. The one I just got into a fight with. He was supposed to be the savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And waiting at the end of it all was the final antagonist. The unbeatable nightmare. …The Spirit King. But could I even make it to the end? Could I really survive in a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that had now become my reality? “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could. But I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, altering the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains long before they could become threats — nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected by my actions? Excellent! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me. My survival. My life. My choices. “I’ll live this life with no regrets.” ...But as I soon discovered, fate wasn't so easily changed. And the price of rewriting your destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR

Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Quinlan, a simple office worker finds himself transmigrated to an extremely dangerous fantasy land as a level 1 Commoner with nothing to his name but his wits - and a unique gift that accompanied his teleportation. No one in Thalorind could have predicted that this unassuming arrival would one day rise to the top, redefining the very meaning of the term 'power'... And that he may have achieved said result by joining a criminal organization and clawing his way through its ranks. In the beginning, Quinlan was painfully weak and alone but thanks to his severe trust issues, joining a team was... hard. However, he soon noticed that a lot of people have collars around their necks in this world... People that couldn't exactly betray him. Follow Quinlan's journey as he grows in strength, amasses wealth, fights to the death, and meets lovely ladies. ... Discord: https://discord.gg/bjunEkswQ3 ... After writing over 750 chapters, here’s what you should know: 1. About the beginning: The early chapters are a bit rough. I'm not saying that it's horrible, in fact, I believe the story to be very enjoyable right from chapter 1. But, at the end of the day, this is my first original novel, and I stumbled in some areas, especially with the MC's attitude. He's too reserved and occasionally too "simpy" with the first female lead. However, the MC grows into a confident, powerful, and composed figure. No long-term cringe. He becomes the kind of MC you want to root for. 2. Quinlan’s morality: He’s not a cruel, sadistic villain. Most of the time, he won't even be acting like a real villain, only when pushed to the limit. Meaning he won't torture puppies or civilians for fun while cackling manically. However, he’s greedy, shameless, and opportunistic. If the lives of his loved ones are at stake and he can only save them by burning a city with innocents inside down, he’ll do it. He's ruthless toward strangers when necessary, but doesn't delight in cruelty. 3. Regarding slaves: Yes, Quinlan becomes a slave master. However, he treats all his women—free or enslaved—with care and respect. 4. More than smut: Every love interest has a real story, a real presence. No girl will be left behind. As of Chapter 750, Quinlan has 7 lovers and a few more "in-development" love interests. This is not a "catch them all" story, adding one girl every 20 chapters. I prefer harems made up of girls with richly developed characters over giant harems full of shallow ladies. Quality over Quantity. 5. Balanced storytelling: My aim was to create a work where romance, action, and slice-of-life blend together naturally. There’s high-stakes action, power progression, romantic developments, comedy, and some chill downtime to let both the characters and the readers breathe. 6. Weak-to-Strong Progression: Quinlan will become OP. But he rises slowly, not overnight. His journey will hopefully feel earned. 7. Not every female character listed in the fandom is a love interest: Some women are important to the plot but are not part of the harem or a planned to be, such as his two mothers. 8. No Yuri. No NTR. That's it, thank you for taking your chance on my novel! I'll make a promise to you, showing how much I believe you'll love the novel if you get over the somewhat bumpy beginning! If you read 750 chapters and hate the story even after investing so much time into it, then you may burn me alive!

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.
