"Kai…." Arthur yelled in shock and panic inside the net that trapped both him and Kai. His eyes were wide, and the fear was evident on his face.

"No use... there's a magic circle at the bottom restraining our powers, making us weak," Kai replied with a weak and dull voice, affected by the magic circle. The glowing circle beneath them was draining their strength, making them unable to use their powers.

Suddenly, something jumped from the ceiling's top corner, landing near where Kai and Arthur were hanging.

It was goblins.

There were four of them, all mid-ranked goblins—just like the ones Arthur had killed before. Each of them held a large knife in their hands, so sharp that it reflected bits of light.

The four goblins surrounded Kai and Arthur from all directions, while the two of them remained trapped in the net in the middle. The goblins stood outside the magic circle, keeping a safe distance from it.
