HxH: Principles of an Assassin!

First and foremost, while being an interesting concept, it has glaring flaws. For a renowned assassin in his previous life, the MC isn’t at all what you proclaimed his disposition to be, other than the [Sociopathic Nature]. He’s reckless and neglectful; fighting in the first 200 floors and trying to go even further with no knowledge or information whatsoever. Even during the first few chapters where he fought his last battle against the 3 assassins, it never dawned on him that assassins might have fought with poison, or to make sure his opponent was completely dead before taking his off him. That’s literally the basics of the basics. Reading to chapter 7, it took him getting his arm blown off for him to realize that he wasn’t infallible in that world. Despite growing up around strong individuals, and even being shown reality by ‘Azrael’, he never started using his brain. How can an ‘assassin’ not be cautious when faced with the unknown. So far, his main character trait is being [Sociopathic] and prone to killing others. He already has basic information of the world and could most likely discern that individuals who can use ‘Nen’ were quite powerful, yet goes into everything with an empty head. Showing his disposition on his status sheet was more of a ‘Tell’ and not ‘Show’. The only ‘Showing’ of calculation was few, only during his fights. Haven’t yet seen him think too deeply or use proper deduction. Honestly, if I was told he didn’t have a previous life, his behavior would be believable, since he acts like a naïve child who’s still wet behind the ears. Well, that’s all. Take what you will from it.

A complete let down, The starting set up MC power as something amazing but we get barely anything interesting from it, MC have the most basic muscle, stamina, echo etc... gene for the longest time and he keeps trying to come up with amazing new skills that fail to live up to the hype so much so that author to aspull random devorer bloodline out of nowhere that even make ROB to intervene to make the story a tad bit interesting. Really regret wasting so much time reading this book, plotline and developent completely destroyed any other good aspect of this book.

Great story, author improves his writing style throughout the chapters. Definitely a great read for HxH fans looking for a new series. The premise is interesting because the MC is Illumi's twin brother, and the starting is set way before the canon timeline. Nen abilities are pretty interesting too.

This is one of the best stories I have read so far. It's much better than mine. I hope the author carries on making stories with evil mc.

Author here, I want to say. This will not be receiving a shameless 5 star review from me, It's not up to my standards. Although, I do try to deliver the best quality possible and make sure my grammar is always up to par. The dialogue, story telling and world building are sitting at a solid 3.8 for me. That's my personal opinion, I convey characteristics through their words instead of their actions a tad bit too much and I'm slowly but surely fixing this habit.
