Chapter 4 : Dream and Birthday

After his father left and his mother fell asleep beside him. Geno opened his eyes and stared at the void, and for the first time, he started seeing a face similar to him, different hair but, still, the same face where he saw sadness and hope in his eyes. His head started to hurt him, and he started seeing a child in an orphanage where he was being abused. He was seeing different scenes but couldn't tell why he was seeing all this or who that person was.

After different scenes and without the ability to tell how much time had passed and a tear escaping his eyes for the first time, he lost consciousness.

He only woke up by the sound of his mother waking him up.

"Baby, walk up. It is your birthday. Happy birthday my lovely son." said his mother waking him up.

"Thanks, mom," replied Geno expressionlessly. No one noticed the ripple in his eyes.

After getting ready for his birthday party, he followed his parents to the great hall. All the family was there, even his great-great-grandfather, Xeno Sept. His great-grandparents of his mother's side were here, Brad and Kira Green.

As soon as he descended the stairs, all the family came to congratulate him.

"Happy birthday, cutie pie," said Lola while hugging him. A second ripple appeared in his eyes.

"Happy birthday, little bro," said Carlos, who was eight this year.

"Happy birthday, little brother," said Lylia ruffing his hair.

"Happy birthday, Geno," said everyone while giving him a big hug.

Xeno came near him and put his hand on his shoulder while sending small Nen shocks to his body, trying to help his soul without him noticing but to no avail. His body absorbed it all. Don't get it wrong that he couldn't awaken his Nen, but to awaken it with forced shockwaves would require a large Nen shock that may hurt him. He sighed and said, "Happy birthday, little one."

Geno received their gifts and congratulations, and while listening to them, his head started to hurt again. Take note that due to his soul and its weak connection to his body, he rarely or never felt pain. Suddenly his head and body felt like it was going to explode and then.

"Argaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" a scream that made the world stop, like really stopping. And no one felt it except one person, Xeno, though he found it difficult to move. He still reached Geno and put him to sleep. Then everyone started to sense what happened.

Lana and Mon ran to their son to see what happened. Lana, while crying, checked her son. Mon was worried sick and hurried to ask Xeno about his son's condition.

"Great-grandpa, what happened to my son ?? What is wrong??" asked Mon in a hurried voice.

"My baby, wake up, please. Don't worry, your mama," said Lana in a panicked voice.

The whole family surrounded Geno and panic appeared in their eyes except for five individuals that had a realizing look and excited eyes.

"If I am not wrong, I think his soul is finally fully merging with his body," said Xeno with a contemplating look on his eyes. Thinking about Geno's outburst right now. He felt a ripple in the surrounding space and a freeze in time. He was shocked by the sudden awakening of Geno's Nen.

"Take him to his room and take care of him. After waking up, he will live like a normal child," said Xander to Lana with a soft look on his face.

"Baby," Cried Lana with a soft and relieved expression, then fainted. Before falling, Mon hurridly caught her. After catching her, he sighed in frustration. He knew his wife was having a hard time and had little sleep since Geno's birth.

Mon, then, carried his wife and son and took them to his son's room. After checking their condition and kissing his wife and son, he ordered the servants to take care of them. He then headed to one of the family's training ground to reduce his frustration.

During all this, Geno was watching scene after scene, memory after memory. He didn't know who this person was or why he was seeing all this. He didn't know how much time had passed.

That was until he saw the memories of the manga hunter X hunter and started making the connection. He kept going through the memories again and again till he was sure that he was the person in the memories. He didn't know that in the outside world his face was going through a myriad of different expressions. For the first time, his expressionless face was cracking down.

In the outside world, the family members were going through shock and joy. Their Geno's face was finally showing something different than the stoic and expressionless face.

A week after week passed till it was a whole month. Geno was on the IV drips. A family member was always seen in his room at all the time. His mother was, always, beside him. His father, if not in the training ground or managing the family, would be in his son's room. Some might ask what was there to manage. Weren't they hidden? The answer was the alchemy ground with different recipes from the dark continent, and others also herpes cultivated by the family or creatures grown by the family. All these, were sold on the outside world besides different businesses were run outside by family servant, and Mon received reports regularly.

In the last week of the month, Geno's tears didn't stop, and he kept crying and crying that his mother's heart aches for him. Every family member was wondering what he was dreaming of and what he was seeing.

Nearly at the last moments of the month, Geno, suddenly, opened his blood-red eyes, not knowing how much time had passed. He tried to move, but his body aches like hell. His mother, sensing him moving, woke up from her sleep and hurried to hug him.
