Chapter 8 Judging the woman?

Tang Ning couldn't believe it. A mother left her children when they were newborns? How cruel! Mr Jing Yue didn't seem to be a bad person but she knew better that sometimes, looks can be deceiving, she thought. "I don't mean to be intrusive but, why did she have to do that?" she asked.

"To do what?" asked Ms Fang confused. "Leaving such young kids. Does she ever come to check on them?" she asked and Ms Fang got what she meant.

"You misunderstood the whole thing Tang Ning. The twins' mother died after giving birth to them," she said and Tang Ning stared at her, wide eyed. What?!! The mother died?! What was she doing judging the woman? That is so sad. "I'm so sorry. I really misunderstood," she whispered. "It is alright I understand," she replied before looking at the twins and she added," It was so unfortunate." Tang Ning couldn't come up with anything to say as she was feeling guilty.

"I took them to his parents' house where they lived until they made two," she continued to explain. Tang Ning nodded her head in understanding and she turned to look at the twins. She herself had gone through it and she knew what it meant to grow up without a mother. Her heart ached for them but she remembered that they at least got a caring father just like her.

"Little Huan is not a healthy baby," she continued to say and Tang Ning looked at her," She was born a premature and had to be in the incubator for sometime. That's why she often falls sick and therefore needs extreme care," she said. "Little Juan on the other hand is silent but very sensitive. He is caring and sweet just like his mother," she continued to say. "Okay. I will do everything I can to be a good nanny for them," Tang Ning promised.

After discussing about everything and payment, Ms Fang asked,"So then, when are you moving in? Should we expect you tomorrow?" she asked.

"Ah, I will come the day after tomorrow if that's okay with you. It's just that, I have to make sure that I leave my father in the hands of a capable person to take care of him,"she explained. "Alright then. The day after tomorrow," she agreed much to her relief.

"I think I should leave and start preparing," she said. "I think so too," she replied and Tang Ning walked to the twins to inform them that she was going to be their nanny.

When she got home, she informed her father about the news of getting the job and he was happy although sad that she was leaving the house. "I've contacted a trained care taker and she's going to be here tomorrow morning." "That's wastage of money Ning Ning. I can take care of myself." "We both know that it's not true. You need someone to take care of you. I can't risk leaving you with Tang Moyu. She's so reckless," she said. "Alright if you say so but are they nice people?" he asked. "Yes father. The twins especially are adorable," she said.

"That is good. Visit me whenever you can," he said. "Of course father. I will be coming during every free time I get," she said.

When she went to her room to pack her things, she called Daiyu. "You won't believe what happened today," she said the moment she picked up. "Congratulations! My aunt just informed me that you got the job." Tang Ning rolled her eyes and said," She's really good at spoiling surprises isn't she? Anyway, do you remember the handsome but unlucky?"

"What is that?" asked Daiyu. "The handsome guy I used to tell you about. The one who used to come to the cafeteria almost everyday," she elaborated. "Anha?" "You cannot believe what just happened," she said. "What? Did he ask you out?" "No! He's Mr Jing Yue my boss!" "Oh! So he's the same widower my aunt told me about," she said. "Yes. You can't imagine how surprised I was when I saw him and how shocked I was when I realized that the twins' mother died," she explained sadly.

The next moment, she heard Daiyu whisper," Tang Ning, I will get back to you. My boss is coming."

When she searched through her clothes, she realized that she had same clothes. Sweater pants and T shirts. She didn't have dresses and skirts like the other girls and it made her wonder if it will make a bad impression of her at her new workplace.

At night when the three were done with dinner, their father went to his room and Tang Ning cleared the table. As Moyu was leaving, she called her. "Moyu, I have to tell you something," she said. "What?" she asked turning to look at her. "I got a job and I'm leaving the day after tomorrow," she said and when she didn't respond, she added," If you can't get a job then at least try to stay home and take care of father." "It is good that finally, you are leaving. Will it be forever?" she asked.

She shook her head and said," A care taker is going to come tomorrow. Don't make it hard for her please."

Without another word, Tang Moyu left and walked to her room.

Tang Ning hated it that they had to fight all the time yet they are siblings. She could tell that she doesn't remember the last time they had a decent conversation. Many times in the past, Tang Ning had approached her in an attempt to make peace but it only resulted into more argument.

When she went to sleep, she remembered her boss and she couldn't help but feel sorry for the father and kids. He must have been devastated after the death of his wife. When she couldn't get sleep, she got her phone and opened Weibo before searching for Feng Shufen. She had opened a fake account where she was following him and knew everything he did. She realized that over the years, he had become more handsome and prominent, exuding an air of maturity. After seeing his recent posts, she closed Weibo and laid down to sleep.
