A light grazes of pink lips and Richard backed away. A faint blush revealed itself on his pale skin as he stared entranced at the lovely Rebecca.

Rebecca's eyes were wide open with shock filling her deep black pupils. Her figure froze, feeling light but heavy. She couldn't feel her breath as she struggled to understand what had just happened.

Rebecca found her hand lifting to touch her lips. With the pad of her finger, she grazed it lightly remembering the feeling of just a moment ago. Soon, she too felt a warm fuzzy feeling rising in her heart appearing pinkish on her cheeks.

"Why," Rebecca softly uttered, "did you kiss me?"

"Because I love you," Richard answered. His voice was warm compared to the coldness surrounding them.

Rebecca forgot all about the cold she felt just a moment ago. All she could feel was a rising warmth in the depths of her heart. She had never felt this way before, but she certainly knew she didn't want to let it go.
