However, this calculation was slightly off because the worst-case scenario Jason had imagined, truly happened.
To their great misfortune, the four Preactors had been thrown into the exact same trials with each other by their side. This gave them the chance to fight much stronger opponents owing to their numerical advantage.
Because of that, their first trial had been a joke, and the second trial was something they quickly got the hang of as well.
They weren't as fast as Jason had been, but still faster than Jennifer, who had to comprehend the essence of the maze all by herself.
