Glitch - Welcome to the game- everyone has powers but me

Fifteen minutes after midnight, March Fifteenth , 20XX, on a Tuesday, Stephen Lee was chowing down on reeses peanut butter ice cream bars and playing video games on his Gear Box 5.

"Dang it, so close" Steve teared off an ice cream wrapper and popped another cream pop in his mouth. He chewed till the wood splintered on his tongue.

He spat out the rinds and continued playing till a lightning storm occurred .

The power went out but Steve's game still played on.

Steve, none the wiser, continued to play in the dark while the ice cream started to melt in his mini fridge under his college dorm bed.

It was a Saturday night weekend and there were no classes to go to except for optional gym credits that Steve never chose to do for free credits because it would interfere with his gaming routine.

The power was out the next day and the day after that, and Steve had been playing video games for seventy-two hours straight, no bathroom breaks.

He decided to make it quick and make a run for it, he felt it, the need for speed, he needed to go, and fast.

He teetered out to the bathroom and took a whiz.

Halfway through his reverie he realized something, this wasn't his bathroom, in fact he wasn't even on a toilet, he was whizzing on someone's foot, and that someone wasn't human.

A hulking creature, about twelve feet tall, with six arms, an exoskeleton, and a bulked out frame, lifted him up with the tip of its index finger and thumb, and put something in Steve's eyes- contact lenses, and a head piece in one ear.

The creature slipped Steve on a pair of haptic gloves and strapped a bomb to his chest with three stock counters, placed a parachute on his back and threw him out of the "not bathroom" and into the sky below.

"Countdown in 3- 2- 1, welcome to the game, a new challenger has arrived. A gliched player has entered the game, stock lives reset to -12"
