Xavier.
“Thank you.” I nodded at the family as I stepped out of the door. The door closed behind me and I rested my palms with a sigh, searching everywhere bas far as my eyesight could go.
We were now going from house to house asking if anyone had seen Valerie, but so far there has been no luck.
I looked up as Jenna and Nathan stopped out of the opposite house and I looked at them inquiringly. They nodded negatively and I sighed out loud again.
I climbed down from the stairs that led to the front door of this house and began to go to the next house. I suddenly stopped walking as my eyes caught a glint on the floor.
I slowly bent down and reached for the source of the glint. It was a small piece of metal reflecting the sunlight and I instantly recognized it.
It was the star shaped metal at the end of Valerie’s necklace. I held it up and Jenna slowly came closer, looking at it in recognition.
