“Do you think any of them still has murderous intentions towards Valerie?” He asked and I glanced at the door briefly.
“I don’t know, but you were able to pass your message,” I replied and followed Xavier as he walked out of the hall. He looked tired.
“There were too many meetings. The head of security and Senator Griffin wanted to meet,” he said and bent his neck both ways, the sound of his bones cracking filling the air.
“What was it?” I asked.
“Some Humans protesting about the unfair treatment of Vampires,” he replied and my eyes widened in surprise.
How was that possible?
“It’s true,” Xavier said, reading my mind.
If this was really happening, Nexus Services won’t be happy about this. The protests would definitely affect their operations and if it the protests continued, it won’t be long before one body or the other steps in and begins to check their activities.
