Chapter 1Chapter 1 - The perfect test subject

They always said that those caught to become living test subjects have no need for emotions, but in all honesty, my fellow brains on legs were wrong. Why would a test subject want to live if there's nothing for them left to feel? That brings me back to my favorite little subject, the special one as I call him. No one knows his name, not that it matters, after all, none of these subjects would ever leave the facility.

"Rise and shine my darling! We have a whole new day to spend and we've got a whole series of new and exciting tests for you to test!"

The boy in question didn't know what his real name was, it had been stripped from him along with his memories when he was five years old. Now, after almost eleven years the only thing left in his head was the hope of leaving this facility and seeing his mother. His mother, a real piece of human emotions, to say the least. When the handlers found her in her power armor, protecting her little baby, she was dead for more than a day, surrounded by more than twenty-eight rangers. Quite the blow for NCR, but nothing a few caps couldn't fix. After all, these old farts only love their whores and money.

The boy did open his eyes slightly before letting out a tired sigh as if my mere presence was disturbing for him to handle, and to be fair, as much as I love him, he was kind of right to feel like that when he saw me. Not only was I one of the reasons he was getting some "love" daily, but I was also the only scientist that took a personal interest in his body.

"What's with that look dear? Have you not had enough yesterday? You want to go for another round?"

Not caring even a little about my remark, the boy simply shook his head before slowly getting sitting on his bed, glancing between his nightstand and me. Maybe he wanted to get his hands on that comic book or maybe he just didn't want to humor me today, but sadly for him, that won't ever work in this facility. Sitting up on the bed he stretched his aching muscles and felt his joints pop back into place as every muscle in his body screamed out in pain. The woman, the only reason he was still alive, was hungrily looking at his naked torso, struggling to calm herself down before she jump on the boy once again.

Thankfully, for him, yesterday's tests put quite the strain on his frail body, thus stopping the mad woman from enjoying his young body for a few days, a godsend if he might say. Tracing one of his newest scars, made the boy remember the suffering he had to endure, just because these monsters found him when he was just a little baby.

Despite getting daily doses of vitamin D, the young boy's skin was pale white as if he was keeping his whole life under the ground…on seconds thoughts that were how he was raised. Even if we gave him everything he request after every experiment, not even once had the boy asked us for freedom unlike what the rest of his "friends" did. He was patient, waiting and doing everything we asked him to do, without complaining even once. However, Dr. Samuel always says that the boy is just playing the long game with us and if we gave him even a slight chance, he would gut us similar to what a deathclaw would do to us.

His chest was bare and boy was he a looker, and even if he was barely sixteen years old, this boy was probably one of the few handsome men in the whole New California Republic, sadly for me, his lower half was still under the covers.

Lifting himself from the bed, the boy ignored the woman that was standing beside him, before glancing at the camera that was always watching his every step, not missing a second of his life. Even if they were to somehow miss a whole day, nothing ever happens inside, other than the boy reading some pre-war books and comics. There was simply nothing he could do in a room with a bed, a nightstand, a table, and a chair other than that. Anyways, I ramble enough probably, and as my ex-boyfriend always said, it's better to waste time at night than when you have work to do.

"I'm glad you are trying to make me excited, love, but sadly for both of us, my superior kind of needs you right now. Therefore, unless you want that man to gas you up and send his goons to take you away, I suggest you get dressed. However, if you are feeling courageous today, we can always test new things on a living yet unconscious subject."

Once again, the boy chooses to stay silent before grabbing his clothes from the ground. As he took off his pants, he could actually feel her drooling at his naked body making his skin crawl as he quickly put on the blue pants and t-shirt that these people ever so gratefully provided him.

"A pity, you don't know how to please a woman, yet. And here I thought that you would have loved to watch me do all the work for you. So be it then, follow me, dear, we have a lot of things to do today and way too few hours at our disposal."

Even though my voice contain some fake sadness, the truth was that my sadistic side would have loved to test some new things on a young boy than on super mutants, ghouls, or even those filthy barbarians that call themselves legionnaires. Sometimes I wish we could have gotten our hands on those communist cloning technologies.

As soon as he was fully clothed and ready, we left the room, and soon as the doors opened, my two bodyguards glanced at the boy wishing they could beat the daylight out of him. Who could blame them? This boy, my darling was the only man I ever slept with ever since we were brought into this hell of sand and misery, and for those men, who sadly for them, hadn't seen a naked woman in months, I was one of the few women in the whole facility. Since the field grunts rarely catch women to be sent here, the men that act as guards either had to sleep with the old scientists or make a long journey to the nearest town for some services.

The guards were both wearing some of the power armor the field boys managed to acquire after a few clashes with what the upper management of this magnificent and corrupt country recognizes as the mid-western brotherhood of steel, a bunch of underground lovers. The young test subject glanced briefly at the shocking batons not understanding why they would have those on them when they could probably punch the head off of anyone dumb enough to try to fight their heads on.

"Move rat. Don't make me use the baton on you!"

"C'mon darling, ignore this hulking piece of meat."

Genshin Impact, Breezing Through Teyvat

A man who used to review novels dies in an elevator accident and is sent to the world of Teyvat [Genshin Impact] to live his life the way he wants. What will happen when an unknown being like him enters the world of Teyvat? Will the Archons hunt him, or will he hunt them instead? *** Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to Genshin Impact nor its characters. My only character is the main OC Yomite Hissha. Covers are also used randomly either from other artists or drawn by myself. So the credit goes to them. My discord server: https://discord.gg/qpDTvSj3TC Please support my Patreon for more releases and faster upload. If it goes well I am thinking of quitting my job and focus fully on writing. That would be nice as my job is really annoying. https://patreon.com/StickSwinger This story is my first wish fulfillment. It will be a little different from Genshin Impact's story, since the game is updated so often and things are added or changed. Currently it's patch 2.3 and I have been playing the game since it came out. So I am following the story closely, but... It will not always be the same story. I'll do my best to get as close to the original as possible with my writing skills. I will primarily focus on adding new things as well. The romance will be slow, but we will get there. Smut is out around chapters 120, mostly to develop romance before going into it. Harem will be expanding, but at a decent rate... I want to develop the characters first before I undergo another harem expansion.

The Synthesis Wizard

In a world where elements lay barren and powerful wizards had abandoned their homeland a millennium ago to explore the multiverse, Sunan found himself reincarnated as a noble scion stripped of his title. This world, once brimming with magic and wonder, had fallen into a desolate state, and wizards had become mere legends. Sunan was acutely aware that after a thousand years, the elements would awaken once more, heralding the return of the wizards and ushering in a new era of prosperity. He understood that his path was clear: he must train diligently to become a wizard himself and survive until this glorious age arrived. “Resources are scarce?” he mused, determination flickering in his eyes. “Then I’ll just have to synthesize them myself.” With that thought, he activated the Synthesis Cube, a device that granted him the ability to combine materials into something new. This Cube was not just a tool; it was a symbol of his potential in this world, reflecting his status as a player in a game he once played. As he set to work, the Cube glowed with possibilities, presenting him with a myriad of options. He had a few basic materials at his disposal, remnants of his previous life and the knowledge he had accumulated from his past experiences in the game. Sunan began experimenting, combining herbs and minerals he had gathered. Each successful synthesis filled him with a sense of accomplishment, inching him closer to his goal of becoming a wizard. Days turned into weeks, and Sunan’s skills improved rapidly. He crafted potions, improved his understanding of magical theories, and honed his mental abilities through intense meditation practices. The Star Ring Meditation, one of the first techniques he mastered, allowed him to tap into the latent mental energy within himself, enhancing his cognitive functions and magical sensitivity. As he progressed, whispers of his endeavors began to circulate among the remaining noble families and the common folk. Some viewed him with suspicion, while others saw potential in the young man who dared to challenge the status quo. Sunan knew he needed allies. He began seeking out individuals who shared his vision—a return to the age of wizards. He discreetly approached the remnants of the nobility, the few who still held some influence, and began to forge connections. His reputation grew cautiously, and with it, the opportunities to gather resources and knowledge. He learned of hidden libraries, ancient texts, and artifacts that could aid in his quest. One fateful day, while exploring a forgotten ruin, he uncovered an ancient tome detailing the rituals of the wizards who had once thrived on this land. The pages contained knowledge that could accelerate his growth, including spells long lost to time. “This is it,” Sunan thought as he carefully transcribed the contents into his own notes. “With this, I can not only learn the spells but also improve my synthesis techniques.” As he delved deeper into the arcane arts, he realized that the key to his ascension lay not just in personal power but in understanding the intricate web of alliances and rivalries that defined noble society. He had to navigate these treacherous waters carefully. In the back of his mind, Sunan always remembered the impending return of the wizards. The time was coming when he would have to reveal his true potential and lead the charge into the new era. With each passing day, he grew stronger, more confident, and increasingly aware of the responsibilities that awaited him. The world was changing, and Sunan was determined to be at the forefront of that change—a wizard in a world that had forgotten what it meant to wield true power.
