Chapter 32: What's wrong with me .

Alyssa arrived at the company and hurried to her office. She didn't get time to apply makeup do everything about her today was natural.

She was in the middle of her work when her stomach growled reminding her that she didn't eat her breakfast.

' What do I do now ? ' She asked herself and got up from the seat. She left the office and got into the elevator to go grab something for breakfast.

" Good morning Ms Alyssa.." The workers whom she was meeting greeted as she responded with bows and a smile.

She reached the cafeteria's reception and greeted the attender .

" Good morning ? "

" Good morning Mrs Wong. What brings you here ? " Almost everyone in the company knew her now .

" I need something to eat. What do you have ? " Alyssa asked cheerfully.

" Mrs , Am so sorry but I don't think that you should be here. " The attendant said panic in her eyes.

" Why can't I ? " Alyssa was confused.

" This cafeteria is only meant for workers . We always deliver special food to the VIP'S in their offices. The CEO will scold me when he finds out that you ate from here.." The attendant said.

" Oh..am sorry for interrupting. I will leave now ! " Alyssa said and remembered the words Calcel told her again.

" Don't forget you are the president's wife ! " These words started ringing in her mind and then she noticed that she had to keep them on her finger tips.

She got into the elevator again to go upstairs and headed to Calcel's office.

She made a knock and heard Calcel's voice ask her to get inside.

She entered but Calcel's focus was on the laptop so he didn't look up at her only to hear her saying.

" Good morning ! " She greeted with her normal self. Hearing the familiar voice , Calcel looked up at her. Seeing her , The image of her lying on the bed came into his mind again.

" What's wrong with me ? " He asked himself inside and looked away from her starting to feel uncomfortable .

" What brings you here ? " He asked trying hard not to look at her.

" Am...am..." She stammered. How could she say that she was hungry yet it was even her fault. If she had woken up early , She would have taken breakfast from home.

Hearing her stammer , Calcel looked at her with questioning eyes.

" Am...I mean am hungry. " She finally got the guts to say it .

Calcel got up from his seat and walked past her . " Follow me ! " He commanded before opening the door to leave the office.

Alyssa nodded and followed behind him silently. They got into the elevator and went to the highest floor. When they were there , Calcel got a key and opened one of the rooms which they entered. To Alyssa's surprise , The room was large and beautiful almost bigger than her apartment. Both of them got inside as Alyssa looked around.

" There's everything that you need. Call the chef to prepare anything you wish to eat.. If you need something more , Be free to call secretary May. " Calcel said.

After the three days of preparations , It was finally the day for the party . Alyssa had successfully organized everything . The party was take place from one of the biggest hotels in the city so Alyssa got ready to leave as early as possible. She was in a pink short bubble dress but still looked beautiful with her simple makeup. Today she had let her hair free to her back .

She got at the party first such that she could still help with the remaining organising. After making sure that everything was set , She went to the hall to find most of the guests there already. She interacted with some of them when she saw a familiar figure. It was Herman , Of course she couldn't have missed inviting him. He came along with Gladys.

" Herm , Mom , Thanks for coming. " She greeted with a smile.

" Did you really organize the party yourself ? " Gladys asked looking at her daughter lovingly.

" Of course Mom. This party will determine my next position in the company so I had to make it to the best. " Aly said .

" We are really proud of you. " Herm said.

" Oh thanks. Please come and get seats. " Alyssa requested and led them to one of the front tables.

Meanwhile , David and Calcel also came in and it was declared that the president and the CEO of the company were in. The guests stood up and welcomed the two with claps and sat down after David and Calcel had got their seats.

After the speeches , Alyssa was called over and the project was handed over to her. She signed the contract and promised to work to her best. After all that , She went back to her seat where she seated with her mother and Herman.

" Oh my God Aly , I can't believe that Mr Wong has really done this for you.." Gladys commented hugging her daughter happily.

" Mom , I also didn't expect this from him.." Alyssa muttered.

Gladys held the sides of Alyssa's shoulders. " You know at first I was blaming myself for letting you marry that man but am now glad that he is really treating you like his wife. I just hope that you continue following his rules till he finally releases you. " Gladys said happy evidence in her eyes.

" Of course Mom , I will try my best to follow everything that he says. I won't repeat the same mistake that I did on Calcel's birthday party. " Alyssa promised.

Gladys smiled and hugged her daughter again.

" I see you are having a good time ! " Herman said approaching them again. They parted from the hug and looked at him with smiles.

" Not really. You know I missed Mom a lot.." Alyssa said smiling.

Gladys looked at her and said. " Of course Mom missed you too. "

Herman beamed at them. " Don't act as if I also didn't miss you. " He argued.

" Herm , How wouldn't I miss you ? " Aly asked.

" It was a joke. " Herman squealed and got three glasses of wine from the table. Giving the two each , He raised for and said.

" Let's drink for Alyssa's success. "

" Sure .." They agreed and toasted before sipping them down.
