Chapter 17: Won't we meet again ?

Calcel smiled and asked. " So are you leaving now ? "

" Of course I have to. " She answered.

" Thank you for everything. " Calcel said really appreciating everything she did.

" I should be the one to thank you instead. "

" No.. What you've done is enough. "

" Okay , I will take my Leave my now. Good " Alyssa said and got her bag to leave. She looked at him one last time and smiled saying.

" Good bye ! "

She had just held the door handle when Calcel asked.

" Don't you want us meet again ? " He asked surprising her. Did this man really want to see her again.

She turned to look at him and said.

" Am not sure of that. " Alyssa said.

" I mean you as you. Don't you wish to meet me once again ? " Calcel muttered

" Of course I would like to. " Alyssa said.

" Then don't say goodbye to me. Goodbye means that it'sover. It means that we won'tmeet again." Calcel argued.

" I get that but the thing is that even if we meet again , I am not going to be the same Alyssa you are seeing now. "

" Why that ? " Calcel asked.

" Because ... Tomorrow I am getting married . " Alyssa declared sadly.

" You...You ...your getting married ? " Calcel couldn't believe his own ears.

" Yes...Am getting married tomorrow so my life is going change. " She added.

Calcel laughed at himself and said. " Oh..I really didn't expect that. Should I wish you good luck then ? "

" If you want. " Alyssa lushed.

" Okay , Happy marriage. " Calcel said with a smile.

" Thank you. I will leave now. Hope we shall meet again." Alyssa said and added when she finally left the room.

Calcel stayed in the room and sat on the sofa not understanding himself. Why was he so hurt to hear that this woman was getting married and why was he feeling lonely as soon as she left. He had been with her for just a half day but she had now put an impact on him like this. He suddenly started remembering the first day they met from the elevator at the company , And then the day he met her at home and how she said she was leaving.

" Wait , She's getting married tommorow and so is my dad. Could she be the woman my father wants to marry ? " He got this from his thoughts.

" But no , My father can't marry a young girl like her. " He thought again when some one knocked the door. It was his driver so they got ready to leave.

" Father , Clere , Good afternoon. " Calcel greeted when he was finally home.

" Welcome back big bro. " Clere said after running to hug him.

" Thanks little one. " Calcel said and went to sit with her on the sofa.

" Where have you been since yesterday ? " David asked unhappily.

" Father , I met Mr Yates for a business deal which after I decided to be by myself for sometime. " Calcel said half truth and half lie.

" Do you know how worried I was about you ? " David asked looking at him with disappoint.

" Am sorry to make you worry father. I will never do that again . " Calcel apologized.

" Okay , Let's not ruin the mood as tomorrow is my wedding day. " David said and put back his focus in the news paper he was reading.

" Father , I have a question for you . " Calcel said.

" Ask ! " David offered without looking at Calcel.

" The woman you are getting married to . "

" What's with her ? " David muttered.

" Is she....Aly..." Before Calcel finished talking his phone rung making him stop midway. He checked it and realized it was secretary May calling.

" What is it ? " Calcel asked.

" Sir , You are needed at the company. We have got an emergency. " May said.

" Okay , I will be there soon . " Calcel said before ending the call.

" Father , Am needed at the company so taking my leave now. " He said after the call.

" Go ahead dear..." David said.

" Little one , See you in the evening." Calcel said to Clere giving her a peck and then left.

From the hospital , Alyssa went on shopping with her mother which later that evening she decided to meet Herman as they had planned.

" I can't believe that your finally going to get married. " Herman said as they gulped down wine.

" I also didn't expect things to be so soon. " Alyssa muttered.

" So are you start living with those people ? " Herman asked.

" Am not sure since a contract marriage but I think i will be needed to stay there. " Alyssa said lazily.

" Am really worried about you . I hear that he's son is really tough . " Herman informed.

" As long as Clere is on my side , I won't be worried about anything. What's the son's name anyway ? " Alyssa asked.

" I heard that that he's called Calcel.." Herman said.

Calcel ? Alyssa didn't know why the name sounded familiar. Then she remembered the friend she had been with the previous night and today's morning.

" You...u said Calcel ? " She asked to confirm.

" Yes ..Do you know him anyway ? " Herman asked.

" Ah...it's because I have a friend with the same name. " Alyssa says forcing a smile.

' There's no way he can be the one. The Calcel she knew was a nice guy not as rude as this Calcel they were talking about right now. ' Alyssa thought and got the thought that he's the one from her Head

" Anyway , I will meet him tomorrow so I just hope that things will be fine. " Alyssa says.

" Am really going to miss you ! " Herman murmured.

" Don't say like that. Even when I am married we shall still be meeting at work and you will remain my best friend. " Alyssa said putting a loving smile.

" Really ? "

" Of course. " Alyssa added moving her arm along Herman's shoulders.

" That's why l love you. Keep that always in your heart. " Herman said.

" I love you too dear. " Alyssa said.

After that , The two had a ride through the town which after Herman dropped her home. Alyssa was too tired so she just had a shower and went to bed . She knew that from this night everything about her life was going to change. She was going to be someone's wife so she had to be careful and whatever was going to happen next.
