Everyone Evacuated. Only I Am Left on Earth to Wander the Stars!

All at once, at the same time on the same day, over a hundred super spaceships built with the collective knowledge of mankind, broke through the Earth's atmosphere, leaving behind their former home, Earth.

Astronomers had predicted an incoming solar storm and when that happens, the Sun would expand like a rubber ball.

The Earth would be like a speck of dust next to that expanding rubber ball, instantly turning to ashes.

This was predicted to happen in a year or so.

Some people questioned if the results would be so catastrophic but humans could not afford to gamble with such predictions.

The price of losing was the death of all mankind.

Every spaceship was equipped with electronic screens.

The blue planet appeared on the screen. After today, everything from that beautiful planet would become a distant memory.

catastrophic. Although Mars was habitable, after arriving on Mars, it would have to undergo massive terraforming changes. It would take too much time and effort, it was unknown if that mission would be successful or not.

As for planet Kepler 452B, after many years of observation by scientists, they determined that it had water and all the living conditions that humans needed. The stars around it were relatively stable as well.

However, this matter also had its issues. Kepler 452B was far away, so far that many would never dare hope to reach it in their lifetime.

Everyone looked at the water-covered planet on the big screen with misty eyes.

Earth carried much of humanity's history.

Countries, wars, nations, and so much more. The good and the bad. Now, it was time to say goodbye to all of it.

"Dear viewers, my name is James, your space commentator for this journey. The ultimate destination of this journey is Earth Kepler 452B…"

A blonde-haired man suddenly appeared on the screen.

"This space journey will surpass all the journeys humankind has ever undertaken."

"Without advanced intelligence of space and technology, we would be sitting ducks, waiting for our demise on Earth."

"Our destination, Kepler 452B, is 600 light-years away from Earth. Now, thanks to the tireless work of humankinds' greatest minds, we have the technology to bend time and space at our will. This knowledge has been spread and shared to all across the Earth and now all our spaceships are equipped with this technology."

"To pass the time during our long and dull journey, I will be spreading the knowledge of the universe and Kelper. I will now be broadcasting a documentary about Earth."

James did his best to explain himself.

The big screens on all the spaceships switched to Earth.

"As everyone should know, the number of species that had existed on Earth after billions of years of evolution is too great."

"All we could do was to bring along a certain number of offspring, eggs, and other various samples."

"There were also many unknown creatures and lifeforms but we, unfortunately, could not bring them with us."

"Our spaceships are like Noah's Ark, a continuation of human civilization."

Now, please pay attention to the documentary. Let's take one last look at our home and bid it farewell."

After having finished his speech, all corners of all the spaceships were filled with music.

The music was low and mournful, like a sad farewell. The music made everyone's heart sink and their emotions were frayed.

"Everyone, please take a look at the first scene…"

The big screen turned into a view of a beach.

The sand on the ground was fine and silky. The screen froze and one could see all the trash littering the beach.

The garbage made everyone speechless. There was underwear, bottles, socks, and even condoms.

James felt horrified at showing this scene to the people who had just left Earth and quickly tried to cover up. He quickly said, "No matter what you see here, it will all be gone eventually."

"To me, every scene here will become a precious memory in time, even though it looks horrid now."

The scene was somewhat inelegant but after what James said, there was just a faint hint of sadness.

That's right!!! Even though this was not the prettiest scene, it would eventually become a distant memory.

Traces of humankind would slowly disappear from the Earth. In just half a year, everything would have faded away.

In a hundred years, everything would disappear.

At this moment, a whole street of seaside vacation villas was projected on the screen.

There were also several luxury cars parked along the street.

Wealth, freedom, and everything on their former planet were like an empty shell. All of it, meaningless.

A new chapter in human history was about to unfold. A new starting point in which everyone was equal. Some looked forward to it, others seemed worried.

"How ironic. I wanted to go on a vacation and see Hawaii. This dream is about to come true but I did not expect to see it from inside a spaceship."

"I used to think the world was so big but now, from space, I feel like the world is so small."

"Las Vegas, how I wished I could gamble for a month straight there. What a pity, what a pity, this wish will never come true."

"The blonde girls in Texas from a whole other country. I will never have the chance to see them in person."

"What was the use of it all? A hundred years, a thousand years from now, who will be left to remember us? Perhaps another species of intelligent beings will come to exist."

"Are you kidding me? There will be no chance of that. The solar storm will wipe it all away."

"Are you sure the words of the scientists can be trusted?"

Everyone felt like they had been transported to the hotel. The big screen was like looking through a VR headset.

The camera zoomed in and everyone's eyes followed the view of the camera as they slowly entered the hotel.

The interior of the hotel was decorated like a royal palace, albeit an old-fashioned one.

The images kept changing. They went down the corridor, through the restaurant, and past the ballroom. It was like looking at a dream.

Finally, they arrived at the presidential suite.

To be more precise, the image was focused on the large bed in the room.

On the bed, laid a blond man with blue eyes.

The man was stark naked and everything was laid bare for all the world's people to see. At this moment, he seemed to sense someone was watching him. He turned around.
