Scream!!!

"Hey, "S", wake up!"

"Who? Jack? Is it you?"

"Yeah, it's me! Are you okay?"

"I don't know! What happened?"

"You had another nightmare."

"Is that so?"

"Yeah, you freaked me out! Haha."

"Sorry for making you worry."

"It's okay but do you at least remember what happened."

"Sorry, I can't remember anything."

"As expected. Wouldn't it be better if you see a psychiatrist? Or shouldn't you tell our parents!"

"I told you I don't want to share my nightmare with anyone else! If we weren't sharing the same room, I wouldn't tell you either."

"But you had quite a lot lastly! I'm worried about you!"

"Don't pay too much attention on it. It's not like I care. Go back to sleep."

"Okay, good night "S"."

"Good night bro."

My name is Simon Smith but as you can see, everybody calls me "S". I don't remember exactly why they call me like that but I don't really care about it.

I'm a 17-year-old high school student. I'm quite well-built. I have an olive skin, dark hair and dark eyes.

They say my eyes and hair are darker than the night sky.

I have an adoptive family. Yeah, I don't know who are parents but I don't think I have ever wanted to know.

I love my adoptive family so much that I consider it as my true family.

My father's name is John Smith. He is 47 years old.

My mother's name is Jane Brown. She's 43 years old.

Jack is my younger brother. He's from the same orphanage as me. We used to be best friends there. But now, we are more than just friends. We are brothers.

Jack is 1 year younger than me. So we attend the same high school since he's a first year student and I'm a second year student.

He has a white skin, blond hair and blue eyes.

We share the same room but it doesn't matter to me because we're very close.

We are so close that I share with him my deepest secrets, like the nightmares that I can't remember.

Speaking of my nightmares, there is something you should know.

Since I was a child, I have always had nightmares but I have never been able to remember what happened in every single one of them. The only thing I know is that I feel pain and headaches.

Sometimes, I feel like these are not nightmares but memories. I'm not really sure about that but I feel it.

In any case, I don't care so much about those nightmares. Maybe it's just youth. Maybe someday I'll get rid of this bad habit.

Today is Sunday but it's also a special day for my family. It's my birthday.

I personally don't care about it but my family does and plans on preparing me a surprise birthday party.

Of course, I already realized their intentions but I pretended not to know anything.

I didn't have class today so I called my friends in order to hang out.

I only have two friends. Kevin and Emma. They are my classmates since last year. I don't know if we're close friends but they are my only friends and that's enough for me.

Kevin has a white skin, red hair and green eyes.

Emma has a white skin, blond hair with a white lock and blue eyes.

I don't remember how we met but I'm sure that they were the first ones to make a move.

Unlike any other guy I have met at school, they're the only ones who are always by my side.

I don't feel like I need friendship but having few friends is good for a high schooler.

When I arrived at the "rendezvous" place, I found both of them waiting for me.

"How strange!! Since when did you start calling us to hang out "S"!?"

"Is that that strange, Kevin?"

"It's more than you think it is!!"

"Leave him alone Kevin. He must have some reasons that obliged him to go out with us."

"Some reasons!? Like what?"

"Like celebrating his birthday with his best friends."

"It's your birthday!? I didn't have any idea!! Congrats bro!!"

"Thank you but I don't really care about my birthday I just had some free time."

"Even if you don't care we'll be celebrating it anyway so let's have fun!!"

"Yeah like Emma said we'll be celebrating no matter if you want to or not!!!"

That's why I like these guys. I never feel bored with them.

After this little conversation, we went to a restaurant and there, they paid food for me. Then, we visited many sights.

At the end of the day, I told them it was time to go because I had to go celebrate my birthday with my family.

"I'll be accompanying Emma home, so we'll have to separate "S"."

"Take care of yourself "S", ok?"

"I'll do so, good night."

"Good night "S"."

"Good night bro."

After being separated I started feeling unwell. I couldn't breathe normally and I was sweating.

Suddenly, I started running at full speed, like I was going to die.

While running, I started feeling pain more and more. It was pain I have never felt before.

When I arrived home, I felt the pain all over my body. It was like I was walking inside the flames of hell.

Knock knock.

I knocked on the door but no one responded, so I opened it.

I looked down and saw blood on the floor. Yes blood. It was coming from the right side.

I turned my head to the right and saw a corpse. It wasn't anybody's corpse, it was Dad's. His corpse was cut into two pieces. It was a horrible sight.

Scream!!

I screamed from the bottom of my heart and then I turned my head to the left and found a slain body cut with no arms and legs.

It was obviously Mom's corpse. I could hardly recognize it. At that moment I vomited so much that I even vomited blood. It was so painful.

Wait a minute! Where's Jack? He's supposed to be home! Where is he? Where is he!?

When I came back to my mind. I ran heading to our room.

After I entered the room, I found a corpse laying on the bed. It was Jack. He hard a hole on his forehead and blood was covering his entire face.

It was horrible. Watching the dead body of the only person I have ever trusted slain was truly painful.

Scream!!

What's going on? Why are all the people I love killed like this? Did I do something wrong? Is it fate? Was I meant to be lonely?

"Are you desperate?"

Who is it? I don't know this voice! Is this...

"Don't worry son, you'll quickly join them!!"

I turned around and then saw a masked man holding a knife with blood in his right hand.

"It won't hurt, trust me! Hahaha!!"
