Entangled : A Love -Story Beyond Time

"Oh no! Mister, please move…!"

Those were the only words she was able to get out of her mouth before shoving the man aside.

Just a few seconds later, a huge piece from a glass window fell from the third floor of a building by the pavement.

Explaining why she had just pushed a stranger to the ground, where both of them lay sprawled at the moment.

"Thank God! Hey, are you alright? Do you need me to call the ambulance?"

The girl was talking all at once, without even looking once at the face of the tall man who had been wearing a mask and a baseball cap.

The man was trying to process everything that had happened within a span of minutes, seemingly out of nowhere.

She wanted to interrogate him further, when she suddenly felt dizzy and before she noticed that her leg had been bleeding, she had fainted in the arms of the stranger .

Hospital :

In the lobby, a tall, slender man was speaking; absurdly enough, his body language was completely calm while his voice sounded agitated;

"J, how many times do I have to tell you that you are a superstar now; you are well known in the world!

We are not just a small band from Korea with a niche following, you can't just sneak out whenever you want! Are you even listening to me?"

The man in front of him shifted his gaze back. He had definitely not been listening to him.

Because he was busy finding the answer to the connection he was feeling with this girl: where had they met before, why did she look so familiar...many such questions were haunting his mind.

He finally spoke with his head bowed, "Hyung ('brother'), when do you think she will wake up? I am really worried, she has saved my life."

After listening to his question, the man felt slightly ashamed that he had totally forgotten about the accident and he was just mad at his younger brother for not obeying him.

He was about to say something to comfort him, but got interrupted by four familiar voices.

A man with a boyish, cherub-like face said, "J hyung is she awake?

You still haven't told us the details! I am dying to know her name, is she really gonna be my hyeongsu ('sister-in-law')?"

Another man with a solemn expression admonished him;

"Ho-jin, be quiet. Stop joking around. He will tell you when he feels like sharing, stop pushing him."

One of them walked up to the two brothers and placing a hand on J's shoulder, said;

"Do you want me to do something, please cheer up: the girl will be fine."

J replied gratefully;

"Thanks DJ, but no I don't need anything and I know, she is going to be fine."

The one who had been quietly observing the others till now, stepped up,

"Okay guys, enough with the talking, J lets go you need to eat lunch- I suppose you know this fact!"

J shook his head;

"Hyung, I am really not hungry;but please, you guys go and have lunch, I will eat after some time!"

DJ collected everyone,

"Guys I think he is right, we have to stop pushing him. Let's have lunch and we will pack something for him."

The person who had been initially admonishing J said with a softened tone;

"Are you sure boy, you don't want to come with us for lunch?"

J smiled because he knew his elder brother couldn't hold his anger for too long, "Yes hyung."

"Okay guys let's go, then! Take care Ji-hun, and if you need anything just call me, hyung has got your back! Okay?" They turned and left.

He finally found peace after they all left and went to sit in front of the girl, who was somehow looking beautiful even in the ugly hospital gown; the girl was probably in her early 20s or at least she looked like it!

While he was admiring her beauty, wondering about the connection he was feeling with her.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes and sat up on the bed in panic, she saw blood on his shirt and said "PHEE, KIN CHA NA?" ("Blood, are you okay?"), then she looked around the room and said ;

"There's a man, he is also injured! Wait, I will call the ambulance…" and she fainted again.

As soon as J got over his panic, he started shouting for the doctor!

After checking her vitals, the doctor addressed J;

"Mr.Ji-hun, she is absolutely fine. It happens sometimes when the patient wakes up, she just needs to rest until the stitches get cut."

J was slightly relieved;

"Thank you, doctor. How long exactly do we need to wait for the stitches to be cut?"

"At least 15 days, it depends on the recovery rate."

"Okay, thanks doctor." He started to walk the doctor out.

The doctor turned to face him at the door and began hesitantly, "Oh you don't need to thank me, it's my job...but I do have a favor to ask of you!"

"From me?"

The doctor replied sheepishly;

"Yeah, actually my daughter is a huge fan of yours, can I get your autograph?"

J chuckled at the unexpected answer, "Oh! Of course."

The doctor took the sheet of paper and left the room, thanking him profusely.

After the doctor left, Ji-hun was once again carried away by his thoughts, he was wondering how a person could be so selfless, 'she was hurt herself but still she was thinking about me, asking me if I was hurt or not.'

Something suddenly struck in his mind while looking at her face, 'she doesn't look Korean- does she know me?

And has she even realized that I am the same person she had saved earlier?!'

While thinking all this, God only knows what came to his mind and he kissed her forehead lightly.

She felt the soft lips on forehead and opened her eyes while shouting,

"HOW DARE YOU!?"

Hearing her scream, Surbhi rushed into her room, expecting no less than an armed robber!

She scanned the intruder-less room, then caressing her face, asked "Hey, baby are you okay?"

Nitya opened her eyes and sat up, a little confused; when she finally found her voice, she said;

"I don't think so…I just woke up from a nightmare!"

Surbhi gave her a quick hug, saying;

"Aww, it's alright now, I am right here.Go and freshen up, I will make you some hot chocolate."

Nitya looked up at her best friend gratefully and mouthed a quiet "Thank you" and got into the shower, still trying to process the strange dream.

As soon as he kissed her on the forehead, her eyes fluttered open.

"HOW DARE YOU!?"

"I...I was just…"

Ji-hun woke up fully drenched in sweat.

It was the same dream! Again.
