Being forced outside of her own world, Pibby has to learn how to survive and mature in these dire times. But that is for her story, this one is a story of someone who will accompany Pibby in the near future to fight off the blob of pixelated corruption. Adam White, a 9-year-old boy living in New Jersey, constantly feels out of place as the youngest of seven siblings in a large family. During Christmas vacation at the home of his grandmother, Adam discovers a manuscript entitled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in his grandmother's cluttered study. Although not initially a passionate reader, his boredom leads him to read excerpts from the manuscript, sparking a growing interest in the story. Although Adam practically lives two days in one, the experiences in both worlds do not interfere with the passage of time.
