Chapter 1Chapter 1

A room with walls of concrete, its marble ground covered in dust lays forgotten submerged under miles of dirt. It's in this forgotten, weathered room that a man materializes in from thin air, blood soaking into his ragged clothes. His eyes are bloodshot, a hint of madness barely concealed within. His eyes dart around the small, rectangular room before finally landing on a cylindrical capsule, which stands vertically in the corner of the bare room almost as though it had been cast aside. The singular lightbulb overhead flickers as a low rumbling comes from above. The man looks up, fear overtaking even the madness in his eyes and he started frantically hobbling over towards the capsule, a deep gash across his calf crippling his movements and making him cringe with each step.

The rumbling from above rises in volume till it reached a deafening crescendo, almost like a tidal wave about to crash down on the man. He desperately lunges his fingers barely brushing the capsule when the ceiling crashes down on him, splattering his organs against the floor like a tomato crushed under the heel of a boot. The area grows silent, the dust slowly clearing to reveal two glowing red eyes. The silhouette slowly appraising its surroundings, lingering but a second on the blood and guts strewn around the wreckage that was all that was left of the man. Its eyes eyes narrowed to slits as it notices the capsule, barely peaking out from within the piles of debris. The figure takes half a step towards the capsule before pausing, its eyes staring off into the distance.

"Yes, he's been dealt with," An emotionless, feminine voice says, cutting through the silence.

A moment of silence.

"Understood, I'll be back in five minutes."

Sparing one last glance at the capsule, the eyes fade and all of a sudden the area is void of life. Except a light glow of a prompt flickering to life on the capsule, its golden glow reminiscent of the sun rising upon the glorious, inevitable kingdom of heaven.

Check out my other book as well Lunar:Secret Guardians ******************* "Grey, elemental affinity, zero" The Elder announced the result loudly On hearing this, it was like a bolt of lightning struck Grey, he stood there dumbfounded and just stared at the Elder. Shocked voices could be heard from the people and there was some which were also filled with scorn. Grey stood dazed amidst all the noises without any reactions. One word was constantly reverberating in his head, 'How?'. 'Why, why did this happen to me?' Grey asked himself over and over again **************** Unbeknownst to Grey, something greater lies in wait in his body.... *************** Check out the book, leave a review after reading, and also your powerstones. Hope you enjoy this, and Thanks for reading ^_^ P.S: When I started this book I had zero writing experience, so the first chapters aren't that great, although, my writing quality has improved over time. Also, English isn't my first language, so there are some instances where my choice of words are not good enough for what I'm trying to portray. A heads up, the book will be using a medieval setting. My world building is not the best, but it gets better over time, so bear with me on the early chapters! P.S: Cover art not mine I just edited it. If you're the owner and want me to take it down you can notify me. Other novel: Lunar:Secret Guardians Check it out as well! Discord Server: https://discord.gg/gs68a4ZzaN
