The goblins rushed at them, screaming their lungs out. They saw what the big human did to a fellow goblin. Even though they didn't know him, they still wanted to get revenge on these monsters that kills him.
"You want to mess with me!?" Andrew shouted, no fear on his face as he watched the goblin rush at him. "Come at me, them. Feel the wrath of the Alpha."
"Oh, god." Edward cringed, feeling something run up his spine. "Doesn't he feel no shame?"
"Alpha? Please." Emma mumbled, cringing at Andrew's remark.
With no fear, Andrew rushed at the goblins charging at him, bashing the skull of the closest one. He then grabbed another one by its face, pushing him back before swinging his bat once more.
Andrew was like a lion in a herd of sheep, attacking them ruthlessly with nothing they could do about it. He was like an adult man, and the goblins were like children trying to fight him. There was no competition.
"Well, I can't let him get all those precious Exps," Edward said, picking up the chair beside him and running to Andrew and the goblins.
Due to his increased strength, Edward quickly reached Andrew, swinging his chair at a goblin that was trying to attack Andrew on his back. The chair and his strength combined thoroughly smashed the goblin's head, killing it. Without stopping, he joined Andrew in the slaughter.
This came as a surprise to everyone, especially Leonardo. He has seen Andrew fight many times, and he always beat up whoever he fought against due to his strength. But Edward had always been a chill guy who would rather break up a fight than join in.
Leonardo knew Edward was strong. How couldn't he be strong when he could easily bench 260 pounds. But he never saw Edward as the ruthless type. Now looking at him as he beats little humanoids to death with a chair, he felt like all he knew about Edward was a lie.
"Fuck this," Leonardo mumbled, he too picking up a chair and joining the three.
More goblins ran into the room, but they were easily killed by the three of them. They were like hens to the slaughter. Soon, more than 80 dead goblins were on the ground, and whenever a new one entered the study hall, they ran out. Andrew, Edward, And Leonard were now almost completely covered in the goblins' blood.
"Know your place, TRASH!" Andrew shouted, a bit too excited as he stepped on a goblins head. "I am the Alpha!"
"Yeah! Don't mess with the Alpha!" Edward also shouted, the blood rush also getting to him. "You fucking green piece of shit!"
Andrew turned to Edward, his skin tingling. "Is that how I sound? Oh god." He mumbled before turning to the others who were watching them. "Tell no one this, or you will end up like the goblins." He commanded, pointing his bat at the dead goblins.
All of them immediately nodded, knowing he could make that happen. The entire study hall suddenly became silent, except for the screams from the hallway. They scanned the bloody classroom, surprised that they adapted so quickly. If it was a normal day and they saw a blood scene like this, most of them knew they would break down or faint.
But now, it was as if they had seen this so many times that their body isn't reacting. Shure, there is some gag reflex, but noting more like nauseous. They adapted quickly. Too quick. And they all knew that.
"It must be the work of the system. We have become like game characters." Leonardo said, knowing what everyone was thinking.
"Ok, guys. We should stop contemplating our life and get a move on. You heard what the voice said." Edward's voice came as he ran towards the hole made by the slime, making sure not to fall. He picked up a bat and continued, "We need to get to the safe zone that will teleport us to a safe place. The deadline is one hour, so we better get moving."
His words snapped everyone back to reality. They quickly rushed toward the door, crossing over the bodies of their fellow classmates and goblins. Edward took this time to count them.
Out of the 97 students, he took a picture of, only 49 survived. 48 people died from the huge Hydro slime alone. Seeing this, Edward immediately knew the road ahead would be hard.
'Well, what can we do but move on?' He thought, dropping his chair and picking up two clubs, holding them in each hand. "Dual wielding activated." He mumbled, swinging both clubs around.
"Hey, where are you all going," Andrew asked, after cleaning the blood off his face with his school jacket. Pointing his club at them, he said, "Pick up a club, all of you. Smith, Romano, and I won't be the only ones protecting you."
"I'm with him." Leonardo nodded. He also dropped his chair and picked up a club. "Killing one monster would level you up. I just got to level one and gained five stats points. If you don't know, five--"
"We know what it is." A boy said, already holding a club. "We aren't dumb."
Edward finally took the time to inspect the guy. He has been talking a lot, from Jack and the beanstalk to now. The guy was the same age as Edward, standing only 5'7. He had black seaweed-like hair, with a hint of green that reached his ears. He was scrawny, with rectangular glasses, and wore a blue dress shirt, tucked into dark blue dress pants and white dress shoes.
"Good," Edward said, going towards the hole. "And you better fight because we won't be stopping to save someone shivering in fear."
They all entered the hallway, stunned by what they saw. Monsters were everywhere, goblins, some wolves, and even slimes attacking other humans ruthlessly. Bodies of humans and monsters littered the floor, staining the walls and ground with blood.
Just then, the body of a girl flew by after being flung by a wolf, landing in front of Edward. Her throat was ripped off as she held her neck, struggling to breathe. Soon, her eyes rolled back into her eyes, dying.
"What are you waiting for?" Andrew said with a quiver in his voice. "We won't get to the safe zone just standing here." He said that, but he wasn't moving.
The wolves were more powerful than the goblins, and he wasn't confident in killing them. Edward turned to look at Leonardo, noticing him frozen. Literally. Only his eyes were moving as his body remained stiff.
"What's wrong, Romano?" Andrew asked, also noticing Leonardo's strange behavior.
"He just allocated his first SP, and the mana is rebuilding his body," Edward said, causing everyone's eyes to turn to him. "I know because I have already put my five stat points in. So it would be best, Andrew, if you put in your SP before we get a move on."
Andrew stared at Edward before looking into nowhere. His eyes seem to move around as if looking for something. He raised his free hand and tried to click something in the air but quickly returned it to his side. Soon, he became stiff, just like Leonardo.
"Woah. That was weird." Leonardo grunted, gaining back control of his body. He clenched his fist, a grin on his face. "But, I feel better now."
Andrew got out of his frozen state, a crazy smirk on his face. All the fear and hesitation he had toward the wolves seemed to disappear as he began walking. "Let's fucking do this! Let's kill these fuckers."
"Don't get cocky. They might be a monster like the king slime." Edward informed, following Andrew. "But yes. We shall kill this fuckers."
