Chapter 177 The Gift

"Hurry up and open it, I want to see what Synthia sent us." Alice said excitedly and Colin's eyebrows twitched

"Fine, just calm down." Colin said as both girls seemed a bit too excited. He summoned the box and found a small door on the side, and opened it. Out came a pile of small bags with words written on them.

"Cabbage? Potatoes? Bananas? What the?" Alice said confused as she picked up a few of the bags and read their labels. The bags were around the size of a blister pack, nowhere near big enough to fit an entire cabbage. Curious, Alice opened one of them and found a small spherical object, confused, she opened a few more and found similar objects, only with different colors and smells.

"Are these....seeds? Since when do vegetables have seeds?" Alice asked, utterly confused

"No idea." Colin shrugged as he looked at them curiously, he could sense faint traces of holy energy which means an angel did something to make them this way, but he didn't know what.

"An angel with [Plant Affinity] or [Nature Affinity] probably shrunk them down." Lily said while observing one of the seeds and both of them looked at her with an expression that told her to explain.

"From what I know, except for darkness,light hell fire and heavenly flames, Angels and demons can have the same affinities. [Plant Affinity] and [Nature Affinity] are two affinities that allows someone to manipulate plants, if I had to guess, I'd say an Angel with either of these affinities manipulated a plant to turn into a seed. But I'm not sure why, whenever someone does this with a plant in the underworld, they just grow into dangerous carnivorous plant monsters and/or a poisonous one." Lily explained

"Well these aren't plants from the underworld, they won't turn into carnivorous plant monsters." Colin said and Lily got excited for a moment, before she looked at him skeptically.

"With all the demonic energy in this realm at the moment, I doubt you can avoid it." Lily said and Colin sighed

"Maybe, but I'll try and find a way. There is no way I'm gonna eat beasts for the rest of my life." Colin said and shivered a bit, while beasts were delicious, he was bound to run out of sauce sooner or later and eating roasted beasts for the rest of his life wasn't something he was looking forward to.

"Can't we just eat them right now? They smell delicious as is." Lily said

"No, we have to atleast try first and until then." Colin said and gathered up all the bags and placed them back in the box before putting back in his storage rings.

"You won't see the box again." Colin said firmly and Lily immediately started whining

"Please, can't I atleast have one." She said with a cute, pleasing look on her face

"No." Colin said as well and she punched him in the stomach before stomping away

"Huh, I think she might be angry for real. " Alice commented when she saw Lily walking away

"I guess I'll just go back to L town and get some more rice and beasts to cook. I'm sure that'll cheer her up." Colin said

"Yeah that's a good idea. I'm going to my room to take a nap, call me when you're back with the food." Alice yawned and Colin shook his head

[Hey, Synthia.] Colin said

[Oh hey Colin, did you like the gifts I sent you?] Synthia asked

[Yeah, they'll be really helpful in the future. I think there is something I should tell you, I'm planning to move somewhere else with the rest of my family in City I.] Colin said

[I had a feeling that you were going to do that eventually, which is part of the reason I gave you the seeds. When are you leaving?] Synthia asked

[Sometime, next week.] Colin said

[Ok, safe travels and good luck.] Synthia replied

[Thank you.] Colin said and flew towards L town to gather some ingredients and make some food to make Lily happy.
