3rd POV

A bald priest was sitting in the empty hall.

Facing a few people who arrived at his house.

"Is that Professor Mangetsu?" Gian asks loudly.

However, the bald head in the priest's robe was slow to respond.

Everyone was a little puzzled.

Gian was about to move forward, but was stopped by Nobita.

"Wait… Something's wrong!"

After his strengthening, his perception also increased drastically. He could feel something was wrong in here.

He could smell the metallic smell of blood from the air. Thinking of this, he waved his hand.

The power of magic passed from Nobita's hands.

Professor Mangetsu in front of them was suspended in the air by him.

He takes a closer look at his body now that he could control it. The chest area around his heart was caved and a charred smell of meat leaked from it.

Doraemon looked solemn.

Suneo even stumbled to the ground, and his whole body kept shaking while pointing at the corpse.

Nobita narrowed his eyes. He kept scanning their surroundings.

All his friends who were still children became scared, their enthusiasm about saving the world was also suppressed a bit now.

Nobita reacted differently from them. The first thought that came to his mind was 'Why is it so quiet here? Is the attacker still around hiding somewhere.

Seeing that the female demon was injured, Shizuka and the others called out one after another cheered from their sides, seeing that the demon could be hurt.

Even Suneo managed to mock the demon without being scared in the heat of the moment.

"Die, you demon! Today is the day of your death! Demons are not welcome in the human world!"

The female demon that was injured became even angrier seeing the insects mocking her.

Just when she was about to show them her power and kill them one by one, she remembers something and started laughing.

"Hahaha! You pathetic insects! Do you truly believe you can save the world from our rule? We command entire armies of demons, each one far surpassing your feeble strength many times over!"

Although she is a demon—and a powerful one at that—she can still die if wounded severely enough. Since these humans are capable of injuring her, she avoids confronting them directly.

"My name is Medusa! Remember my name, when the demons conquer the earth, I will ask personally ask Demon King to bring you under my command to torture you all till death seems like an escape from me… Hahahaha"

"My name is Miyoko, Professor Mangetsu was my father." She tells them, with tears still in her eyes.

Shizuka couldn't bear it, she took her handkerchief out and handed it to Miyoko.

"Why was he attacked? There hadn't been any reports of demon attacks until now." Shizuka asked.

"When my father learned that demons were coming to Earth, he believed it was crucial to prepare for their attack. He tasked me with gathering items for defensive magic that could help protect us against them…"

"But as I was on my way back, I heard an explosion coming from this direction. When I saw you being attacked, I was about to step in and help, but I realized I was too late—and you didn't even need saving. I had been preparing to ambush them by hiding my presence... but then I saw my father. I couldn't control myself. I acted on impulse and jumped in without a proper plan, which allowed the demon to escape."

Saying that, Miyoko started to cry again.

Shizuka hugs her, silently crying with her.

"Don't worry, she can't hide from us and… about your father, maybe he is still not dead."

Nobita seemed calm.

But she felt a surge of energy rushing into her heart knowing they can now easily find the demon to avenge her father's murder.

"Let's go then! I won't be scared by any demon now."

"Yeah! Let's beat them up to show them who's the boss."

Gian and Suneo also waved their hands aggressively.

"Don't worry! But first, let's make a plan to deal with them without properly this time."

Nobita shares his thoughts.

"First of all! Everyone must have proper tools to fight them." Nobita says out loud.

"That's easy! I bought the military version of the air cannon! They are five times more powerful than that of the civilian version I had before."
