“You teased your brother again, didn’t you, Daniel?”
“I didn’t mean to…” Daniel muttered. I could only shake my head and mount a defense for him.
“They were just playing. Synon was surprised so he cried.”
“You yourself were surprised too. You wouldn’t have let the chicken nearly burn like this otherwise.” Dy calmly walked out of the kitchen. My eyes widened. I completely forgot that I had been roasting a turkey in the oven.
“Oh no, it burned, didn’t it?”
“Almost,” I heaved out a sigh. The three boys were also relieved. They had requested a turkey. This was because Dylan left the television on a cooking show the other day, and they made a roast turkey and gravy, which I had not imagined cooking before.
But when these little boys saw it, they begged me for the turkey. They fussed over me until I finally had to go out and buy the ingredients.
Dy and Dylan could actually do it, but they would not!
“Take the boys for a bath first. I’ll take care of the rest.”
