Decades Apart

Aastha is surprised to see her uncle, who lives a lonely life away from them. He is one of the saddest and most lonely vampires she has ever seen. He rarely visits them and barely speaks a word. In her need to know him, she starts to follow him when he leaves her birthday party and comes face-to-face with one of his secrets. On the other side, Prayas has been in misery for years, punishing himself for the crime he thinks he committed. The woman he fell in love with is now old, while he is still a young man. It's not that she denied falling in love with him because of who he was, but because she hates him for what he did. The curiosity of Aastha towards her uncle's life brings his past in front of them, and slowly the truth is revealed, opening up all the secrets of his past life.

Truth and Proof

Both Aastha and Denisha watched them quietly. Adhir came out of the kitchen. Aastha opened the camera, ready to click pictures. She tried to click, but only his side face was seen.

Adhir handed Reason a glass of water and sat on the couch, showing his full-back towards them.

"Shit," Denisha muttered.

"Are you hungry?" Adhir asked.

Reason shook his head.

"Just had a snack."

Reason was trying to find a way to start the conversation about Prayas. He saw Adhir's brother Badal's photo on the table. He had an excuse to bring up the topic.

"It's been so many years. I still can't believe it," Reason whispered, not taking his eyes off the photo frame.

Adhir sighed.

"I miss him. It's been three decades without him."

"I was wondering where are your...." he paused. "those friends who used to come to the cafe? that vampire and the human?" Reason asked: taking a chance.

Adhir went silent. His eyes were filled with anger, but he quickly covered it.
