Clara sat in the alleyway and watched the pedestrians pass through the city streets. Her hands held her legs and her face pressed against her arms.
'...' She emotionlessly stared at the street. The loud noises held her still and made her shiver, "..."
She moved her head back towards the bloodied scene.
"..." Her eyes latched onto the red liquid that covered the ground. The sounds of their screams echoing in her head, '...'
"Stopppp...! You're so mean...!"
And she looked up.
'...' Her eyes darted towards the street as she spotted a little girl. She ran passed and smiled, her eyes gazing at another girl, older than her, who chased her.
They smiled at each other. Holding each other and laughing.
"I really mean it sissy!"
Her burning gaze on her small figure, she watched.
"Haha...You're not going anywhere!" She tickled the girl, her smile growing as the kid squirmed in her arms, "AUGH...You're so cute!"
She pressed her lips to her cheeks, kissing frantically and hugging her tight.
"I love you so much!"
"I love you too!" The girl kissed her face and ran out of sight, her sister followed, smiling.
"..." Clara's eyes gazed at the empty spot, "..."
"I love you so much!"
That phrase repeated in her head.
"I love you so much!"
Again and again.
"I love you so much!"
Over and over.
"GIVE ME IT!" She screamed at her sister, knocking her down and pushing her to the side, "WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE HERE!?"
"CLARA!" Her sister yelled at her, "Why are you yelling!?"
"Ugh! I want my tablet!" She screamed again, pulling and scratching at her sister, who jumped away.
"Clara, Mom told me not to give it to you!" She watched as Clara wiggled on the hallway floor, her fists flying everywhere as she cried and cried.
"I WANT IT! I WANT IT! I WANT IT! I WANT IT NOW!" She screamed.
"No, Clara." Her sister turned her head and walked away, tablet in hand.
"I HATE YOU!"
"I hate you too."
"I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!"
"..." She closed her eyes, "..."

"..."
"Please...STOP! STOP I'M SORRY!"
Her hands tightened.
"STOP! You...You can kill me but have mercy on my friends!"
Her legs tense.
"Thank you..."
Her body shook.
In anger?
In sadness?
In...Happiness?
She didn't know.
She just watched.
Watching the world go by.
Watching the people laugh in happiness.
Watching the eyes of everyone.
With a heavy head.
"..."
"Crystal...Are you really going to the military?" She asked, her older sister nodding her head.
"Yeah...Dad finally persuaded me to." Her sister said, holding her backpack in one hand and her papers in another, "Dad finally got what he wanted."
"..." They were standing next to the bed. The tiny bed which always felt full, now, feels so empty, "When...When will you be able to call...?"
"Ha...I don't know Clara..." Her sister sighed, dropping the items on the floor and laying on the bed, "You know Clara...I wanted to be a nurse."
"..."
"I wanted to be a nurse and help kids out...But Dad... He didn't think I could..."
"..."
"He always said I could be whatever I wanted and that he would support me."
"..."
"I guess that was a lie."
"...I..."
"Clara." She looked up at her, her brown eyes peering into her soul, "You...You're so smart...You're so smart, Clara. You're so strong. All the things that I wanted to be. You're different from me Clara."
"Crystal..."
"But no matter what you do Clara..."
"Crystal I..."
"I'll always love you."
"Crystal I...I'll..."
"I'll always love you too." She muttered. The words she couldn't say then, she said now. The words, which she muttered to herself, she didn't say to her. The words that she should have said. The words that were said once and never again.
And she watched.
She watched as her sister left her.
With her brother.
With her mother.
And with her father.
Alone.
Finally, alone.
Really, alone.
She watched the road again. Her gaze running towards the nightclub. She didn't want to go. She wanted to stay on the floor. She didn't feel like acting anymore.
I felt like this was too on the nose and quick character growth so I scrapped it.
