Chapter 29: Commotion

There were some things that caught Vishnu's attention from time to time and he bought some but for the most part nothing special. The auction entered the last leg and Vishnu could feel the excitement in the audience.

"We're just two products away from the end of this year's Qilin Auction. I'd like to thank all of you again for coming here. Now let's see the penultimate product." Thames announced as the ladies brought the table with a crimson cloth on it. Thames gestured and the Crimson cloth was removed.

"Is that a book?" Vishnu mumbled.

There is a silver boom of sort on the table. Chatter sounded as people didn't understand what is a book doing here. 'Is Qilin auction house auctioning some special cultivation method?' these are the thoughts of most.

"I know what you people may be thinking as to why would we showcase a book here but there is a special reason for that. You all saw the head that was auctioned before the half-time, This book was found alongside that head. As the head was indestructible we concluded that the person when he was alive must be above the Core & Soul fusion realm but as of today there is no one in history who was able to proceed further and we may be able to find a clue as to how to reach that realm by studying this book." Thames said and stopped for a moment. He let the information sink into the audience for a moment and immediately a heat crept up. People were visibly excited, why not? There is a chance for people to exceed beyond the known realms and become more powerful.

Inside one of the V.I.P chambers, Freya looked at her father with excitement in her eyes. Daniel too was visibly excited. Daniel has reached the pinnacle, even though he is still young and has a few hundred years left that doesn't mean he doesn't wish to live longer and become stronger, with this thing here there could be a chance to make his wishes come true.

But a frown appeared on his face as he thought of something. Seeing him frown Freya couldn't help but ask "What is it, father?" She didn't understand why is his father frowning all of a sudden. This is good news that this item appeared in the auction. They must do everything in their power to get it and if they still couldn't get it they must find the person who did and even kill them. The value of this thing is immense to just let it go.

Daniel looked at his daughter and sighed " If even the Qilin auction house couldn't open that book then it'll be very difficult or even impossible to glean any secrets from that book." Daniel didn't think that the people from Qilin auction house would be so generous as to just hand them this precious item if they themselves could use it. They're probably waiting… waiting that someone might open this book. The one who'll get this book will be under their strict monitoring. They'll try everything to uncover the contents of it.

And his thinking is right. The auction house is thinking exactly along that line.

Vishnu looked at the book with interest in his eyes. He didn't even have to ask to know that Arthur would also tell him to buy it. And he did. But the problem remained. Did he have enough Qi stones to buy it? Nope, definitely not. All the people in the V.I.P chambers are a wealthy bunch. Some are high-ranking nobles and royals too. Even though he has amassed some wealth during this period of time he couldn't compete with them. Even though there is a negligible amount of possibility that they would be able to uncover the secret of the book these powerful people didn't hesitate to buy it. Soon the bid reached 3200 qi stone. It was an astronomical price. Mind you the head Vishnu bought with 500 qi stones was already high enough as he didn't even have 3000 Qi stones in total.

The price keep increasing and finally slowed down to around 7000 Qi stones. No one thought that the price would reach this high. Even though it could potentially unlock your future path to immortality but even the Qilin auction house couldn't find a solution so most people didn't gamble on it. Yes! It was a gamble in their eyes, there is less than 1% chance that they would be able to find a solution to this book so they didn't dare spend too much money on it.

The competition, at last, continued between daniel and Luther. It is as if they are fated to compete.

Daniel looked at the chamber to his right while gritting his teeth. Even though he didn't know who his opponent was this time but he is swearing so much in his mind that the person would probably spew blood if he heard it.

In the end, he just sighed 'just leave it, It is impossible anyway. No need to waste so much' he consoled himself as Thames confirmed the bid for the third time.

"Congratulation to the person in chamber 13 for winning this book." There was clear excitement in his voice, it was way over their expectation. The book went for freaking 7800 qi stones. It was a huge sum. Their approx estimation was around four to five thousand qi stones. They never expected that someone would bid so much.

After calming himself down he again spoke to the audience "Now it is time for the final product of …" "Boooom" Before he could finish speaking a loud sound interrupted him and the roof where he was standing fell. He reacted quickly and jumped out of the way. He squinted as he looked at the person who appeared inside the smoke. Anger could be seen on his face. 'How dare they interrupt their auction. They're looking for death.' This was the thought in his mind. He never considered the possibility that a person could disturb their auction and leave alive this building.

He looked carefully at the person who stood before him. A vulgar scar was on the person's face that went from the right corner to the left corner on his face. It looked like someone was cutting open his face.

A chill ran down Thames's spine when he felt the aura the person before him was excluding. 'Core and soul fusion realm' and not just in early stages. He couldn't comprehend why such a powerful person would invade their auction house.

in the V.I.P chambers, people looked at the scene inform them with curious eyes. They didn't feel fear or anything. They are one of the most powerful people on the continent gathered here. Who would dare to cause trouble to them but they still felt annoyed at the situation.

Vishnu looked at the person who just appeared. He could feel the power coming from this guy is strong but even then one guy couldn't do anything in the face of all the strong people here. So the question is what the hell is this guy doing here?

'Is he trying to commit suicide? Nah there are many other peaceful ways to do that. He could be tortured for the rest of his life if captured alive so hmmm.' As Vishnu was thinking he stopped when Arthur suddenly said something. 'Oh! Intereseting' He looked toward Chen Jiaxin, she looked confused at the whole situation. She then looked toward Vishnu and saw that he didn't look worried at all so that helped her calm down a little.

"What should we do now?" She asked him. They're currently disguised so she didn't want to fight as that could reveal her power as there are some people whom she knows and they had seen her fight.

"Nothing, we should just wait and see." He didn't explain as calmly looked at the situation unfold.

The man with a big scar waved his hands to get rid of all the smoke around him. He looked around and flashed his white teeth at Thames who looked at him with complicated eyes.

"Hello, Ladies and gentlemen. You must be wondering why I've come here at this moment right?" He asked as he looked around. He could sense that many powerful guys are making their way here as he speak but he didn't mind it. He looked especially at the V.I.P chambers as if he could see through them.

"I've come here on the orders of my master who has reached the realm past Core & Soul fusion." The moment he finished speaking as if a bomb has been exploded in the minds of the people present. Everyone heard him loud and clear as he used Qi to enhance his voice.

The faces of some people turned ugly while some looked like hope has been ignited in their life. Some thought that there will be a danger to their authority while others hoped to climb that realm and gain lifespan and become more powerful.
